Responding to the business' response: I didn't specify my reasoning behind my rating because they weren't worth the effort and I was keeping it classy. They are right - they absolutely kicked me and my child with cancer out just a couple of weeks before Christmas. This was also after my self proclaimed alcoholic neighbor had accosted us. She had an invalid complaint, and even while it did not have merit I was still willing to work them but they choose to give us the boot instead. Now they are claiming it was because I was asking other campers for financial aid which is just a flat out lie. I did not ask a single camper for money. I believe the lot manager - who I thought had befriended us - may have been included on an email with a link to a GoFundMe someone had created for us. That is the only possible connection to requesting financial aid I can think of and that would be grasping at straws. It also did not involve campers (especially not plural). That is insulting, untrue, and the fact they keep changing their reply to fit their narrative speaks volumes. Proceed with caution is my only advice as logic, honesty and kindness are clearly not present here. Your business is in my prayers.
Took our new travel trailer on its "maiden voyage" to test it out and get out of the valley heat. Got a lovely shaded flat spot that was very easy to back into. We originally planned on only staying 2 nights and opted for a 3rd night as we were very relaxed and enjoying the quiet RV park. There are quite a few long term residents who are working up in that area and all are very friendly. We enjoyed an afternoon at the pool and then popped over on the short walk to the 7-11/76 station at the entrance for some cold waters and snacks. The ladies that work there checking you in or handling maintenance are very kind and helpful. We did do the walk to the creek. Take the milder trail that starts the other side of the trash bin. It's not as steep or rocky. There are some plastic lawn chairs at the creek to relax it while enjoying nature. We hope to return soon!
Dutch Flat RV resort is absolutely FANTASTIC, Ron and Laurie (owners) are wonderful people and I would consider them good friends at this point.. they are always doing projects and building up/ maintaining the park along with there 2 hard working boys… I lived there for 5 years and very much enjoyed my time spent in this beautiful place… Jen the RV park manager/ never ceases to amaze me handyman is AMAZING she will do absolutely anything to help you at the drop of a hat!! The park is clean and quite, it’s a nice mix of contract workers, vacationers and full time live in rv’ers.. everyone is friendly and communicates well, occasionally you get a odd ball that stirs up strife then leaves a crazy review but 99.9% good people… the bathrooms are clean (cleaned very often) the electric is new and works great, the pool and trails are awesome and well kept… I would not hesitate to say this is the best RV park I’ve ever been to, not uptight, and very friendly open community… I’ve seen Trump and Biden flags being flown in adjoining spots and the people having beers together and an adult conversation on it’s ok to have differing opinions we are all Americans at the end of the day… thank you Ron and Laurie for running such a shining example of what an RV park should be!!! I WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD
We love it here. The camp hosts are awesome and accommodating, and ever so sweet. The pool is really beautiful and well kept. It is a quiet park and there are a few more long term residents, which is great, nice and quiet, no ridiculous parties! Can't be happier. Its not far from Auburn where there is all the shopping you need.
This was a really nice place to stay, we stayed several days. Close to the I-80, but no noise. There's a gas/diesel (14' height on the overhead for diesel) fueling station right at the entrance...and very handy. Pool looked very nice and has a small clubhouse, which wasn't in use, but looked good. The setting was mostly tall trees so, we were not able to use our satellite TV (though others could), and there was no cable TV...but the internet connections were surprisingly good...we were able to watch Amazon Prime and Netflix MOST of the time. The big plus were the CampHosts, Lori and Lois, who ran everything there...SUPER friendly and helpful. The place kind of runs on...your word and a handshake...informal and genuinely customer oriented, a bit of a rarity these days. Now, this was NOT a downside, but there were a lot of "full-time" residents in the camp, but i noticed almost all sites were well kept, neat and quiet! Actually, our last day (of five) met a couple of "good ol' boys" obviously in residence...i honestly wish we'd had more time, enjoyed chatting with them :) This was not "glamping" but was a sort of "Travels with Charley" Steinbeck-esque experience..i just wish i'd realized that BEFORE we left. If we're in the area, a do-again for sure. Last thing...we have a large 40' Class A...we got in, but took some adjusting to settle the coach right..and a few low hanging branches were worrisome (we're on the tall side too), but with caution they were avoided.
