Dutch's Campground

This is our third time staying at this campground, and it never disappoints! The washrooms and showers are always clean and well-maintained, with hot water available for both ladies and men. The check-in process is super easy - we called ahead, set up camp, and paid the next morning. Electrical power is also available at most sites. There's also a small creek with some birds in the area. It's the spot to go to if your looking to camp in the Kalamalka area of Vernon, BC.

We had to make last minute changes to our camping plans and Raj managed to find sites for our four family’s on the same day while it was busy. He was like a hero to us. The campground itself is cozy, treed, has a beautiful tranquil stream running through, short walk from an awesome beach but what makes it so great is the staff and how well everything is kept. Thank you so much!

Perfect place for young families. Forget the struggle of driving to the beach and trying to find parking. Dutches is walking distance to a nice little sandy beach with lots of trees and shade for the kids. It's walking distance to a nice little Cafe and rental store for paddle boards and bike rentals. Groceries are also close by to add to the convenience of its location. It's also right off the path to the Rail Trail which is great for walking, running or biking with the chariot or other kid friendly attachments, and it goes for miles. There's a good laudromat for those regularly doing laundry with kids... the washrooms have recently renovated and everything is well kept and clean. There's a nice little creek that runs though the campground which the kids (and adults) can play in, there's tons of activities for the kids in the area and great recommendations from the owner, Raj, to help you plan your visit. He's done very well with the place and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to spending our summer here next year, and maybe more to come. Don't forget to bring a basketball or even your hockey sticks if you want to take advantage of the court and nets here. Thanks Raj and everyone for accommodating us!

If I could give Dutch’s campground a 10 star review I would. It is a beautiful campground nestled along a gorgeous stream that’s sounds lull you to sleep at night. The greenery and huge trees growing are almost surreal to look at, such beauty. I grew up camping and do a lot of it and I can’t say enough positive things about Dutch’s. The owner Raj is so incredible helpful and personable. The grounds are kept super clean, and the washrooms and showers are immaculate. My sister and I were camping alone with our kids for the first time pulling and setting up a trailer and Raj and his wing man/grounds keeper/jack of all trades Blair were so helpful. Honestly we wouldn’t have made it through the week if it wasn’t for them. Of course we ran into trailer problems being our first trip alone and we were never left stranded. Raj made sure we were taken care of and checked back everyday to ensure we were doing ok. The kids loved being able to explore and play, and everybody was so friendly. Kal beach is just right down the road and is a lovely beach with a beautiful multi use trail that goes around the lake. we used it daily, and saw tons of marmots, ducks, birds, scenery, and lilacs. We had such a great week and will definitely be back. Thanks for being such a great host Raj :) Keep up the good work!

I am so impressed with this site I had to share! I stayed cool in 45 plus temperatures in the beautiful stream and late night swim at the lake that is only 2 blocks away! The staff are always friendly and helpful. The campground, bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are always kept clean and stocked. I recommend this little gem of a campground that took me completely by surprise and is close to everything.
