Best vault toilets I've ever seen. Super friendly camp host. Came here mid-week at the end of August and the place was empty. So peaceful and relaxing. Nice shade from the trees and lots of different sites to choose from. Only downside was the campground is on a hill so finding a nice flat site for a van was a bit tough.
We didn’t stay at this campground, but we did boondock at Rocky Point East. On our way there, we made a pit stop in North Eagle to check out the scene. Thank goodness we did, because we met the hosts, Phil and Wendy, who are absolute gems! Phil told us they had water and garbage services, and we were more than welcome to use them. Now, let’s talk bathrooms. The pit toilets at North Eagle Lake are IMMACULATE. Seriously, I’ve never seen pit toilets this fancy. And it gets better – Phil and Wendy also take care of the pit toilets at Rocky Point, and they’re just as nice. North Eagle is only $8 a night if you decide to stay, and it’s totally worth it. We can’t wait to come back to the Eagle Lake area! --------------------------------------------- We’re a small-town Iowa couple who traded the Midwest for a life of adventure on the road since August 2021. If you like to boondock in peace this is the place. I'm in a 26ft class C, and with 20 sites to choose from there were 3 other campers and the host. The host says he is never full so always a site. They have 4 site's for larger rigs but would not recommend any over 35ft. Water is available to fill your tanks through out the park, fire pit, picnic tables, extremely clean vaulted toilets. At $8 a night and half off with National Park Pass for $4 you can't go wrong I give it 4 out of 5 stars only because it's a little dusty on the roads around the park.
Wow! Cleanest nicest BLM campground. Immaculate pit toilet with decor. Campsites clean and raked. Serious pride from the hosts. Great work you've made a special place.
We use this Campground for a great place to sleep on our way to Oregon. $8.00 a night, its clean and campsites are far apart from one another. There is a Campground host and is open to the first week in November, weather allowing. It is not on the lake, but a nice view from Campground, and nicely treaded.
This is a wonderful peaceful campground. The rates are 8$ a night. 4$ If you have a senior pass. We have the cleanest pit toilets in all of California. Come see us, all the host are friendly. Hope to see you soon.
We stayed here on our way from Oregon to Tahoe. At $8/night it was economical and beautiful. Great night sky, lake views and good tent sites. A bit of road noise, but not too bad
