Location and Accessibility

Eagle Valley Campground is strategically situated at 390 Watson Cutoff Rd, Cle Elum, WA 98922, USA. Its location near Cle Elum positions it as a highly accessible destination for campers across Washington, especially those traveling along the Interstate 90 corridor. For westbound travelers on I-90, a useful tip for easier access is to "take the second exit off and back track," which suggests a more convenient approach for navigating to the campground, particularly for those with larger rigs. This practical advice underscores the campground's focus on user-friendliness for vehicular access.

The campground's proximity to a major interstate like I-90 is a double-edged sword, as noted by some visitors. While it provides excellent accessibility, leading to "very noisy" conditions due to freeway proximity, this is often a trade-off for convenience. For many Washingtonians, the ease of getting to a campsite directly off a main highway is a significant advantage, especially for shorter trips or as a stopover point during longer journeys. The accessibility also means that visitors can easily reach nearby towns and attractions in the Cle Elum area, offering opportunities for resupply or exploring local dining and recreational spots. The presence of a "dump station at entrance to park" further enhances its accessibility and convenience for RV users, allowing for easy waste disposal upon arrival or departure. This combination of straightforward access and essential services makes Eagle Valley Campground a practical choice for a broad spectrum of local campers.

The advice from fellow campers about using the "second exit off and back track" for westbound I-90 travelers, especially for "big rigs," highlights a local understanding of how to best navigate to the campground, underscoring its design with vehicular access in mind.

While some may note the "noisy" proximity to the freeway, this is often a trade-off many Washingtonians are willing to make for the sheer convenience. It means less time spent driving on winding, unpaved roads and more time enjoying the act of camping itself. The campground's ability to accommodate larger RVs, with specific site recommendations, further caters to a significant segment of our local camping community. The availability of a "dump station at entrance to park" is another practical feature that greatly appeals to RV owners, simplifying their arrival and departure routines.

Furthermore, Eagle Valley offers the simple joys of "going camping." It provides a level base to set up camp, whether in a tent or an RV, and offers a peaceful environment for activities like "bird watching and listening." I booked the wrong site online and they were helpful in letting me change it. I would say sites 35 and up are best for big rigs. If you are westbound on 90, take the second exit off and back track, it’s an easier drive. Lots of birds here to watch and listen to. I would consider this place to be a weekend getaway if you are looking to “go camping”. Dump station at entrance to park.

We got there the day after Memorial Day. There was no one in the office or anywhere we could see. My husband called and they said they were too tired to come check us in. The map by the door showed our site but the sites were just out in a meadow and the roads were not well marked. We found a place and set up. It was right by the freeway and very noisy. In the morning when we left there was still no sign of life around the campground. The sites were pretty level and since we were the only ones there, it was as spacious as we wanted.

Well- managed and maintained campground. Felt very safe. Nice shady tent sites. Bathrooms are heated and showers are clean and hot. Good cell signal was able to stream. Would stay again.

We didn't stay there. However, we did get water there instead of hauling over the pass and even prepaid for out waste so we could dump after leaving liberty campground. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Beautiful campground from what I could see. One day, I might just go camp there.
