Whether you're a seasoned camper or a first-time adventurer, East Cape Campsite provides a serene environment that caters to your outdoor needs.
East Cape Campsite is located in a remote area accessible only by boat, making it one of the most secluded camping destinations in Florida. This campsite is perfect for those seeking an untouched natural experience, away from the crowds and noise of modern life. The surrounding environment is pristine, with dense forests, crystal-clear waters, and abundant wildlife, offering visitors a true taste of real Florida.
At East Cape Campsite, you'll find a variety of amenities to make your stay comfortable while still immersing you in nature. While the campsite itself is minimalistic, it provides all the essential facilities for camping, including tent sites, fire pits, and basic restrooms. The campsite encourages visitors to bring their own gear, as it offers a "pack everything in and out" philosophy, ensuring that the environment remains untouched and preserved for future visitors.
One of the standout features of East Cape Campsite is its accessibility only by boat. This makes it an ideal destination for those looking to explore Florida's waterways. Visitors can enjoy kayaking or fishing in the surrounding waters, with opportunities to spot a variety of marine life. The campsite also offers access to hiking trails, where you can explore the dense forests and enjoy the serene beauty of the area.
East Cape Campsite is particularly popular during the winter months when the weather is cooler, and wildlife activity is abundant. However, visitors should be prepared for the challenges of camping in a remote location. The campsite recommends storing fresh water in tough containers to prevent damage from wildlife like raccoons. Additionally, bug protection is essential, as the area is known for its mosquito population.
For those who enjoy stargazing, East Cape Campsite offers unparalleled opportunities to view the night sky away from light pollution. The campsite's seclusion ensures that you can experience the beauty of the stars in their full glory. Daytime activities include exploring the nearby beaches and enjoying the breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, which have been described as truly magical by visitors.

East Cape Sable. Kayak camping trip 2012 Dec. 9 sunset Dec. 10 sunrise. Beautiful nature and super secluded accessible only but boat. Best in winter months due to bugs fresh water should be stored in tough containers due to wild life, raccoons etc. Plan on being in the tent after dark unless you prep a screened enclosure again bugs. If you want to experience real Florida cost in the raw this is one of many places, it does not get any more bare bones pack everything in and out. Leave it as pristine as you found it.
