Based on customer reviews, East Fork State Park Campgrounds has received mixed feedback. A significant concern raised by tent campers is the lack of bathhouse facilities in many of the campground loops. This information is reportedly not explicitly mentioned on the official website, causing inconvenience for some visitors. Campers are advised to carefully review the campground map before booking to ensure they select a site with access to desired amenities.

Another point of contention is the description of the "campground beach," which reviewers describe as more of a logjam, indicating that it may not meet expectations for a typical beach experience.

For horse campers, there are concerns about the availability and reservation policies for the horse-specific loop (Loop A). Reviewers express frustration that this loop is not reserved exclusively for horse campers, leading to situations where non-horse campers occupy sites intended for those with horses. Additionally, noise disturbances, including loud and obnoxious behavior from other campers and excessive dog barking, have been reported in some loops.

Features and Considerations:

  • Multiple camping loops within East Fork State Park.
  • Varied site availability for tent campers, RVs, and horse campers.
  • Lack of bathhouse facilities in several loops.
  • "Campground beach" described as a logjam.
  • Horse loop availability and reservation issues.
  • Potential for noise disturbances.

Potential visitors to East Fork State Park Campgrounds should be aware of these considerations before booking. Tent campers are advised to carefully review the campground map, and horse campers should inquire about reservation policies for Loop A. It's recommended to contact the campground directly for the most up-to-date information on facilities and availability.

Many of the loops have no bathhouse, with no explicit mention of this on the website. Tent campers beware! Look at the map closely. Thankfully we were allowed to switch sites. But still a pain. Also, the "campground beach" is more like a logjam. Don't even get your hopes up.

Very upset that loop a for the horses had only one horse and the rest were campers.I have horses and really wanted to be able to bring horses. But they do not allow it to be reserved for only horse campers which is not right. We ended up staying in loop g and 1st night was not very good with ppl across the street being very loud and obnoxious. Dogs barking all night and day too. Really wish horse lot was open and kept for horse owners and campers only.

We had a group come to camp here. Overall we had a blast and the campground was great, clean, and the company (other campers) were extremely laid back. The bathrooms and showers were clean also. ****The only issues we had were that We had two campsites B23 & B24 and neither one of them had a grill in the fire pits (and both of ours for whatever reason were the only two without them, I checked). Also one of our campsites B23 we couldn't even use bc there was room for only one tent (online it says you can fit up to 6 people realistically you could fit a 2-3 person tent in that spot) and it had been raining so that only spot was a mud puddle the rest of the area was at a slope and/or concrete so nobody could pitch a tent there. I would still definitely go back.

This says more about fellow campers than the managers of the grounds, but I tried to do open hammock camping but raccoons wouldn't leave me alone. Campers clearly feed them and they lose their fear of people. It may not affect those with trailers, but ruins it for those of us trying to get rough it a little more.

We love camping here and found our favorite campsite. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot if you go to a newer built shower house. I wish they had laundry but there is an excellent laundromat down the road. We plan on camping at least 4 times this year. Lots of things to see, but the park is huge, be prepared to drive around to get to places
