I love this campground! The bathrooms are clean, and the beach is beautiful. There's a bit of road noise, and the boat launch is a little mucky.

My family and I had a great time at East Lake Campground! We stayed here the last week of September 2023, just before the park closed for the season. Since East Lake Campground is at 6500 feet elevation, the nights were very cold, from 44 to 31 degrees. The mornings were windy, and the days were around 62 degrees. The campground has 29 sites with no hookups. There are flush toilets, but no showers. They do have drinking water available. East Lake has one boat launch, but the water was very low, about 40 feet down from the bank. The fishing was great, and it's a great place for kayaks. Each site has a picnic table and a fireplace. Most of the lakeside sites are pull-through sites that are about 50 feet long. Some of the back-in sites were only 35 feet long. The campground is very quiet, and the sites are not too close together. We stayed at East Lake Campground in a travel trailer.

It was really cold and windy, but that's what you expect for a fall camping trip with friends. The water was warm, and the views were amazing.

East Lake Campground is a nice place, but the new speed bumps/tank traps are ridiculous. We saw people rip off their sewer pipes, and all of our stuff fell around in our motorhome when we were crawling over them. They need to fix them and make them a lot smaller. The RV park has been great for the last 7 years until they added the bumps/tank traps.
