Eastpointe RV Resort Introduce

Eastpointe RV Resort is a popular choice for travelers seeking a mix of nature and convenience in Grand Haven, Michigan. Nestled at 200 N Beechtree St, this resort offers a unique blend of outdoor activities and comfortable accommodations. The property features fantastic riverside sites with direct access to the water, making it an ideal spot for boaters. Future expansions include plans for 30 boat sites with shore power and water by 2025.

Eastpointe RV Resort boasts a variety of amenities designed to cater to families and outdoor enthusiasts:

  • A sparkling pool for relaxation
  • A playground for children
  • A pavilion for gatherings
  • Direct access to the Grand Haven dog park, perfect for pets

The resort's prime location near the river offers scenic views and opportunities for outdoor activities. However, customer feedback highlights concerns about declining maintenance standards, safety issues, and management neglect. Many guests have noted a lack of responsiveness from staff and ownership in addressing these issues.

While Eastpointe RV Resort has the potential to be a fantastic destination, it currently struggles with inconsistencies in service and facilities. Guests are encouraged to share their experiences and expectations with the resort to help improve its offerings for future visitors.

Fantastic sites right on the river with direct access to the water for your boat. Starting next year, 2025 they should have 30+boat sites with shore power and water. There is also a nice pool, playground and pavilion on site open for everyone. The park also connects directly to the city of Grand Haven dog park so easy to let the pups play and get exercise. Only downside is reatrooms and showers not at the same level as the rest of the property. Still decent, but not good.

Initially, the experience was top-notch. However, over the past four years, we've watched with dismay as the focus has shifted increasingly towards profit, at the expense of maintaining the quality and standards that once made this place special. First, the grounds and amenities. When we started coming here, the grounds were meticulously maintained. Now, the trees around the campground are surrounded by weeds, and the grass has large holes from old, dead trees that were removed years ago but never properly filled in. Large weeds impeding your view? Either bring your hedge trimmers and do it yourself or complain and be prepared for toxic Round Up to be sprayed everywhere so the green weeds have turned brown and dead, and weed killer runs off to pollute the river. The hot tub jets, which haven’t worked in two years, are another glaring issue that remains unresolved…..in lieu of funding a hot tub repair they have dug a hole on the transient side for a future pool. A year later said pool remains a fenced off hole in the ground. Next, safety. One of the most concerning changes is the lack of enforcement around the park’s speed limits, particularly after the transient side opened. Unfortunately, while the office staff listens to our concerns, there's no follow. The secure front gate? Often broken and open……the back gate? Often left open for the ongoing transient and dock construction, even through weekends when workers are not present. When asked about the status of gate repairs the management is unprofessional and disrespectful to resident. Management, despite being the same as when we first started, seems increasingly disconnected. Among residents it is a known joke that the best way to make park owners aware of these issues is to leave an online review…….. On to recent changes……A new policy restricting summer 2025 seasonal options to just the front row feels like another step in the wrong direction. In the past, seasonal rental is either full (May 1-Sept 30) or summer (Memorial-LaborDay). Next year any resident on the waterfront sites is required to be full season. The reason? Managements personal schedule after Labor Day. To explain, waterfront sites are setup so the hitch end of the rig is facing the river. This means the manager has to place on the site for you using a tractor. The resort has ONE person who drives the tractor…..so because management will not train or hire another employee to do this we cannot come back to the riverfront next year……because personal September schedules has them often absent. They want the sites full seasonal May-Sept to avoid tractor moves. Summer only is no longer an option. For years we have been here, and now being forced to either move or exit. Several longtime members of this community are impacted by this. Finally, activities. Many (most) private RV resorts and campgrounds have scheduled activities included in the cost of stay, or for a small fee. Not EPRV. Despite the high fees to stay here, ALL events and activities have been organized and funded by the amazing longtime seasonal residents. We have had a lot of fun over the years with pool parties, bingo, xmas in july, wine tasting, potlucks, scavenger hunts and more. All were welcome to attend regardless of contribution. When asked for a simple stipend to help fund activities, the management gives a firm refusal, but ironically asked to use our event photos for the resorts social media pages. Frankly, to be on par with nicer campgrounds the park should offer kids activities and adult events. In conclusion, this campground was once a fantastic place to spend our summers, but it has declined significantly. The potential for it to return is still there, but it requires a renewed commitment from management and ownership to listen to their customers and address the issues that are being overlooked. As for us, it appears our patronage has come to an end, but no worries on the parks management, as we are just a number and there is always someone in line to replace a longtime loyal customer.

7/25/24: We've been here a month now and just love it! We've stayed in a lot of RV parks and, although this is certainly not the cheapest, you get what you pay for. Good to be back in our hometown for the summer while not imposing on friends & family. Jeff and the entire staff are amazing! Very well cared for and maintained resort. We definitely recommend!

So close to downtown Grand Haven. Awesome level and paved sites. Sites are large, so you're not on top of your neighbors. Pool, pickleball, and so much more. Located right on the Grand River. Unfortunately, while we were there, they were rebuilding the docks and walkway along the river so we couldn't access the river easily. Be sure to go to downtown Grand Haven! Lots of great walking, shopping, the famous water and light show set to music. Be sure to go to Norms for ice cream!!

This rv site was very pretty but I made reservation in Jan for our spot in late June. I paid the top price for riverfront view which meant a pull in parking spot which would have our huge front window facing the river but they put us in the "new" area. The new area is still on the river but it's a back in spot. They need to be more specific on their reservation site. The other problem was the smell from the water treatment site. The grounds were very nicely manicured so I would recommend this place.
