Econo Lodge

Horrible. Arrived, and no one is at the desk....wait. Finally get room, many things are dusty and/or broken. I notice there is only 1 thin blanket under the very thin bedspread, and we have 3 pillows for my husband and I, and I need more form comfort as I broke my back and struggle with pain at night. I call the front desk from my cell phone - no room phone - no one answers, so I go to the front desk, again no one is there, I wait. Finally someone opens a door and asks what I want. I say "another blanket and 2 pillows please" (with a smile) he informs me I am only one person, and I have everything I need in the room. I tell him "I am a guest here" and I state again what I'd like. After insisting and threatening to leave, he gives me what I want (we were charged for the extra bedding) I'll post pictures that will speak for themselves. I have videos, but they can't be uploaded here? Videos of the water drizzling out, running my fingers through the dust, and the coffee pot spitting water all over, but making no coffee. Woke up to water that just drizzled out & then stopped. I washed up in 1 inch of water in the dirty bathtub. It was literally the WORST hotel and hotel experience I have ever had. We were visiting our daughter and her family who just moved to Lake Mills, Wi. We were happy to have a place to stay so close to them when we drive the 3 hrs to visit, but we will look for another hotel. Never again. They should be ashamed in every way to be running such an awful business. However! The bed was comfy, thus the 2 stars.

Wasn't pleased with experience! Bed was noisy, there was a big stink bug crawling on the ceiling, bathtub, shower Wasn't very clean and stained. The sink had a part laying on the counter and could hardly understand the hotel clerk- talked real low with broken English.

August 24th, 2024 I would like to encourage no one to stay at the Econo Lodge in Lake Mills WI. We had four rooms and three of the rooms had smoke detectors hanging by wires from the ceiling and the fourth one was covered in plastic. There was a razor blade in the drawer along with a broken needle. There was a used condom on the floor. No children should ever have to see this. The rooms were not clean. The bathroom doors scraped against the toilet seats. Some breakfast food was still left on counters. The staff was super unfriendly and one couldn't even understand English. The other want even an employee. Just "filling in." Needless to say, we could not stay there and left. We went to another hotel. I am being generous with a one star review. So just a word of caution...don't stay here!! August 27 So, I just got a response from the "manager " apologizing for the poor condition of the hotel. Sorry, not accepted, as the staff was very noncommittal and condescending. As I said, we did NOT stay at the hotel due to the conditions. We requested a refund and was told IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM BECAUSE I BOOKED THROUGH A RESERVATION DESK. Econo Lodge had been paid by RD but still would NOT refund our money. RD (Reservation Desk) contacted the hotel requesting they start the refund process. Econo Lodge flat our refused. Don't fall for their niceties!!! It's all an act!! Oh and we booked four rooms....all were gross!!!

Absolute bottom of the barrel. Go ahead and stay if you want bed bugs at home. 2 different rooms, both have bed bugs, couldn’t stay. Can tell with how cloudy the pool is, that water is not balanced. Blood spots on walls, missing outlet plates, missing base, children stickers on headboard, urine smell, smoke detectors hanging and visible mold. The Place should be condemned.

Absolutely nobody stay here. Gross. There was poop in our shower and the pillows and were yellow. The room, and hallways smelt like 💩. We didn’t stay there, and asked for a refund. Service sucked.
