Econo Lodge Defuniak Springs I-10

I got a room here for my 3 year old daughter and I to evacuate from Hurricane Milton. The staff has been so sweet and accommodating during this stressful time for me and my babygirl. The rooms are very clean, and it's safe. We left in the morning and came back to our room cleaned and they put all my babies blankets & pillows all cute on our bed, and organized a little even. Way more then expected for a stay over room. It was such a big help for me being a single mom during this and I appreciated it so much. I highly recommend this hotel! Edit: the housekeepers name is Wanda, shes so sweet!

Never talk to little kids even if you're a good person. It was truly a good experience staying two nights in the peacefully restored smoking sections and that was good to have a choice, smoking or none smoking 🚬 the rooms although could use some new mattress and pillows, sorry for the I convenience 😄👀

Room in nice condition, but not clean throughout. Seemed like the bed hadn't been washed in a while & lots of little bits in it & smelled like pee. Gross! I complained to the guy through the little window, but he barely spoke English & made no reductions on price.

Close to interstate I 10 making ease to access when traveling, but it seems to be a bad area. When I arrived around 7:00 PM, my check-in was through a small window with me waiting outside of the building because they didn't open the front doors. The same was my checkout in the morning. They advertise "free breakfast included," but it is not true. They don't even have breakfast. When I asked about this misleading information, they blamed the internet advertisement but did not refund my paid reservation. Beds are fair, shower was OK, room was clean, free parking space, the area in quiet. Rooms have a new TV system but not all rooms' updated settings. Next time, I would look for another place.

Price was very reasonable and the accommodations were very acceptable within the issue that we had when first arriving and being placed in a room to begin with. I recommend econo lodge in defuniak if you are traveling for work and need a place to stay for a few days conveniently cheap and quiet.
