Mattress was too soft. I sunk into the matress. I'm not even that heavy. The pillows were terrible. Too flat. My room did have a spa tub which was cool. The breakfast was not that great. Had a waffle machine, oatmeal, fruit, bagels and cream cheese only for one day, (did not replenish bagels the second day), yogurt and some frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Would have been nice to have some fresh eggs, sausage and potatoes.

The rooms were actually really nice and the one we got was really big with a living/kitchen area, everything was clean and updated. My only 2 complaints were 1 the shower head was so low I'm only 5'8" and it's could not stand under the shower head but it was a really nice rain shower head, and 2 you had to drive around the block from the main building to another building where there were more rooms which was fine but it was just weird that they weren't all together.

We had an awful experience here. It’s 33°F right now at 10 PM, and it’s supposed to drop to 25°F tonight, but the heater in our room isn’t working. We paid for a room with specific amenities, and when we asked for help, they wouldn’t give us a comparable room or even fix the issue. Instead, they handed us a cheap plug-in heater that feels unsafe and barely warms anything. The only other option they offered was a much smaller room that didn’t come close to what we originally booked and paid for. To make things worse, while we were on the phone with the booking center trying to resolve this, the receptionist actually knocked on our door and told us to leave if we weren’t going to use the room. I wish this were one of those “Karen” reviews where someone is whining about not getting their way, but come on - it’s a 2-star hotel, and all we wanted was basic human needs like heat. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially if you expect even the bare minimum to be met. Awful. Inhumane.

Diana at the front desk was very helpful. The room was surprisingly nice for an Econolodge. The breakfast is limited but it’s still nice to get a cup of coffee and a bagel in the morning at least. The snacks at the front desk are very reasonably priced. Nice little area to walk the dog and lots of walkable amenities.

No heat in December. In South Lake Tahoe. Let that sink in. They knowingly gave us a room without heat. The room heater was blowing cold air. We left for dinner and came back to an even colder room. The weather was under 30F degrees. When I asked for different accommodations, I was offered a small plug-in heater that is inappropriate for the room size and the space. The front desk said "it's too cold for our heaters to work". Again, this is Lake Tahoe. 30F degrees is normal for December. I asked for a different room and then was offered an inappropriately small room that did not match my original booking. When I told them it was not acceptable and that I needed a minute to gather my things and find a different accommodation, they told me to "leave if not using the room".
