Econo Lodge Inn & Suites on the River

The location is close to the strip, and it has a view overlooking the river. We got see see bears walking down the river. Great to sit down and relax. Great view of the mountains. The beds were clean, floors and bathrooms. Extra towels, toilet paper were provided. Nice size tv and lots of spaces to store clothes. The only down complaint I have was that the water in the shower gets backed up and it takes a moment to drain. The place is a little run down but nothing that can't be overlooked with their great prices. Small breakfast nook was set up for the guest. The pool was closed due to off season but that was just an observation. Otherwise our check in and check out was quick and they were courteous. Will be a spot we will consider to stay in the future.

This place is horrible. Bathroom door falling apart. Sinks clogs easily, bathroom heavily stained. Unfriendly check in staff. Cracks on the ceiling and water damage. Cigarette buds uncleaned on hallways. Parking space are tight.

The selling point is the location. Not on the strip, walkable to the strip, quiet, 2 restaurants across the street, a bunch of restaurants walkable, and on the edge of town making getting to-and-from the park a breeze. You do not want to be driving through this town. 1 minute and you’re out of town and basically in the park. Rooms are not super clean. Shower curtain had mold on it. It’s an Econolodge. Staff is very nice. Would stay here again.

I stayed at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on the 18th-19th January and was appalled by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the front office staff. From the moment I checked in, the staff displayed a lack of basic customer service skills and treated me with complete disrespect. They were dismissive of my questions, unhelpful with any requests, and acted as if I was an inconvenience to them. Their attitude was not only unprofessional but downright rude. At one point, I was even spoken to in a condescending tone, which made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unpleasant. A hotel stay should be a welcoming experience, but the behavior of the front office staff during my visit completely ruined what should have been a pleasant trip. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue and provides proper customer service training to their staff. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they make serious changes to how they treat their guests. Extremely disappointed.

A very scenic hotel on the creek, really nice views, with balconies on one side of the building facing the water. You can actually go down to the creek also, which is cool. The rooms are in good condition also, looks like they were done recently compared to the classic look of the building architecture. One minor thing to watch out for are the maids stealing cash in rooms, be sure to keep your money safe if your staying here.
