Econo Lodge Lexington Downtown near I-81

Attendant was extremely rude. Room was supposed to be non smoking, room reeked of smoke. Dead bugs on the floor. Mold on the mattress cover under the sheets. Mold in the AC unit and on the wall under the AC unit. Mold in the bathroom. Mold on the refrigerator seals. Dead bugs on top of the sheets under the blankets. Chair in room was filthy. I travel for work and have spent over ⅓ of this just this year in hotels, this is the worst experience I've had

Clean, spacious room. TV, refrigerator, microwave, ironing board with iron, hairdryer, desk to sit at, many chairs in the room, comfy bed, friendly staff. No coffee maker!

My wife stayed here this past Friday night and when checking in, she said the clerk was the rudest person she has ever dealt with. He blamed her for him not being able to find the reservation even after she offered to give him the reservation number. Instead of a 2 night stay, she checked out early and stayed at the horse center in a tent. Because of him, if there was less than 1 star that is what they would get.

my card won’t work and there’s nobody in front desk to ask or say something to, i’ve been waiting here for like an hour. coming out of work tired just trying to go to sleep and i can’t.

I had stayed at other establishments with a 2-star rating in the neighborhood, so I was not prepared for the terrible experience that awaited us when we arrived to check-in. First off, the manager was needlessly rude. I asked to have a look at the room, and he got angry and told me to step aside. A little while later he tossed the card key and yelled out the room number. The room smelled moldy, and the skirting had come off and was left laying on the floor! Disappointed, I paid the cancellation penalty (one night's rate in full) and left. The manager was rude all through our interaction. This place is not deserving of its 2-star rating. Warning to all that book for a family.
