Econo Lodge near Missouri University of Science and Technology

I needed a room for three weeks when my house needed emergency repairs. I have a dog and they had smoking rooms. I was so happy to find us a place to stay. The staff was amazing and went out of the way to make sure I was happy, safe, and wanted to pet my doggie a lot!! The cleaning staff were wonderful as well. I have a disability and they came in and swept, changed sheets, and just visited with me. The motel is older, but my room was clean, and I enjoyed my stay. A nice staff makes a motel for me.

I had terbbile Experience at this hotel. The room was filthy and infested with cockroaches and other pests, making it impossible to stay comfortably. Despite advertising “bed and breakfast,” no breakfast was provided, which was one of the main reasons I booked. The hotel also falsely claimed “Book Now, Pay Later,” but they charged my credit card before I even confirmed my stay. When I requested to cancel upon arrival due to the lack of breakfast, they refused and made excuses about needing a manager who wouldn’t be available until the next day. To make matters worse, the hotel was nearly empty and had an eerie, unsafe atmosphere. I do not recommend staying here—dishonest policies, unclean rooms, and a complete lack of customer service. Stay away!

I can’t stress this enough, do not stay here. I checked in, and found three dead coach roaches on the floor. I booked my reservation through their official website. I asked the front desk for a refund and to cancel the reservation. I was told that I had to call the Econo Lodge website’s customer service to cancel and get a refund. The customer service operator said that the refund had to be done by the front desk because they are who took the payment and received the money. The front desk would not admit that they were capable of giving me a refund until they were caught in their lie by the customer service operator. They flat out lied to me & tried to send me on a goose chase. They then continued to refuse to give me a refund even though they admitted that they know that there are cockroaches in the buildings. This was ridiculous to the point that the Econo Lodge customer service (who had been on the phone the whole time) apologized to us and said that they would file a complaint with their corporate office against the motel. For your own sake, pay an extra $20 and stay at one of the other options on the same street.

do not spend your money at this place we pay for a room on hotels.com and when we got there the lady would not let us in the room said there was $100 non-refundable deposit ... when I asked her why she said "you should see the things people steal from us" . she would not let us in the room and she would not give me my money back we ended up on the streets that night because of her sleeping in a truck. I had paid $74 for two beds in a smoking room.

No complaints stayed one night. It was clean and comfortable. Lower end hotel so yeah there was a gap in the floor tile and toilet is small so if you have a big butt take a bit of caution. But overall worth the price. I had to take a star because I do have a big butt, but you kind of feel like a giant when you sit down, so I guess it's subjective.
