Great location, walkable distance to everything. General interior and exterior of the property seemed clean. No elevators. Can't enter the side doors, only exit. Room decor was cute for the area, lodge themed. Sheets and sink were clean but the shower had hair everywhere and the hot tub as well. I tested the jacuzzi before I got in but all sorts of little black dots came out so I opted out. Carpets need vacuumed bad, I had to wear shoes the whole time. Didn't hear any neighbors, seems to have pretty good sound proofing between rooms. Breakfast was bare bones and cheap mini muffins/Danish and breads but wasn't expecting much for continental so plan to grab breakfast elsewhere. I put a do not disturb sign up on the door but still received a knock at 9am and then again at 10:30am letting us know 11am was check out. What's the point of the sign then? Front desk at check in was quite short and unhelpful with me initially but was fine later in the night, no one there at check out time. Parking in the front is limited and tight for larger vehicles but there is additional side and rear parking (no clear signage if you're coming in late at night though). It worked for a one night stay but I would choose elsewhere in Custer next time.

This property is very clean. The receptionist was very friendly and we felt welcome. The furnishings are a little dated or maybe just rustic - but the cleanliness was exceptional and the room had everything we needed (plus a little more like ironing board) There was a modest continental breakfast included so we were able to get an early start with food in our bellies. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This was the cleanest hotel we have stayed at on our trip to South Dakota. The staff were so nice and helpful! Breakfast was pretty basic but still good. They do not have a pool as listed on google but you can swim at their sister hotel.

Me the Hubby and son stayed in a 2 queen bed room mountain view. Front desk lady was friendly. Rooms at a reasonable price, perfect to sleep for the night. Very clean and quiet. Comfy beds and pillows. Just a walk away from stores and restaurants. Perfect location from attractions. Only downfall was the website shows there's a pool. THERE IS NOT A POOL HERE!! If you look into the updates there's a message saying there no longer is a pool. Other then that the Econo lodge serves its purpose.

The hotel was fine and staff were friendly. My issue is that the Google listing has pictures of a pool as well as lists a pool as an amenity. I called to make a reservation (not third party) and specifically asked if they had a pool. I was told that they did and was given the hours that it’s open. Surprise! they closed the pool 2 years ago. When asked the front desk said that it was on their website. Also breakfast could be better
