Econo Lodge

Wonderful people, exceptionally clean room, and great hospitality. Continental breakfast was very good. I stayed just one night (during the storms from Helene). They took great care of all guests…even as departure was delayed by a mudslide. I’ll be back…and would encourage others to stay here when visiting the area.

It's the Econo... and I AM PICKY! So the rooms are the rooms, but outlets everywhere! Not a single hair on the beds, tables, sink nor the shower! The service is great! Check-in was a breeze! Ask and you will receive! I asked for an ironing board, didn't have one in the office. This guy goes to an empty room and gets one! Plenty of places to eat all around & Ingles Grocery is less than a mile away...

Awful! After checking in, I walked into my room to find no less than five cockroaches, crawling around the walls. Light fixture above the mirror for the bathroom sink was removed. They attempted to move me to a different room, upon walking into the second room, I was greeted with an awful, funky smell. Of course, I decided to leave the hotel immediately. Front desk told me they were not authorized to give a refund, I would have to call back the next day. I know Econo Lodge is pretty close to the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hotels, but this was ridiculous. 9/14/2024: the next day, still no refund processed. I called the hotel several times got to speak to the manager once who told me he was on another call and would return my call in a few minutes. 2 1/2 hours later still no return call. Just spoke to, the front desk person, who’s told me that he’s not sure if they’re even going to give me a refund. This place is beyond pathetic. Stay away.

Fantastic view. Clean room. Older property but maintained. Downside is exterior doors and the driveway can be challenging.

I know, I know, it’s EconoLodge. But don’t sleep on this one…actually DO sleep on it! Clean inside and out. Exceptional front desk staff. Beautiful view. Comfy beds. Good water pressure. It was all great!! Now it isn’t going to have all the extras, but it’s a good place for a cheaper stay!!!
