Econo Lodge Sturbridge Route 20

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any motel or hotel. I accidentally locked my card keys in the room on the first night, so I called the front desk ask asked to do by the sign on the window since, first red flag, this place is not staffed all the time. After explaining the situation, the lady asks what room I'm in then just hangs up, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I go wait at my door for 5 minutes, then call back to ask if she's coming to the room or am I meeting her at the office. She proceeds to actually yell at me and tell me that since she gave me two keys I should just knock to get the other person I'm staying with to open the door, the other person that does not exist. Finally got her to give me another key, but then was scolded and told that this was the last time she's doing it like I'm some child living under her roof and not a paying patron. Absolutely atrocious behavior and not worth the reduced price. The room was disgusting and the entire building is in poor repair as well. Zero amenities. I stayed in town for a week but I definitely checked out the very next morning. Save yourself the headache of dealing with a totally entitled business owner who has absolutely no problem treating the people literally giving her money like crap for slightly inconveniencing her due to an extremely poor business model which is their own fault.

The worst experience in my life. This is trash hotel. The beds are awful but the worst part was the rooms were so hot and could not get the ac to work when we asked for help this old lady came out with a broom yelling at my Autistic son. It was so bad I ended up in the hospital because of the conditions in the room. This place needs to be shut down. Don’t believe that they have breakfast as advertised because they don’t. Just plain trash!! Never stay there!!! Unless you are a drug user it seemed more like that kinda place. I was traveling from Alabama and trusted reviews so hopefully someone will see this and don’t take your family there.

Another hotel I'd highly recommend is distinguished by its reasonable prices, exceptional service, impeccable cleanliness, and warm, friendly staffs. I stayed here for 16 nights, I enjoyed the place very much, thanks to all the staff for the warm welcome, if there is a chance I will go again. Best Regards, Nonny

The stay was fine but the lady at the front desk was very miserable. I called to confirm my reservation and she wouldn't. She said something about security risk? um okay? When I got to the front desk she was horrible to deal with. Very aggravated and just miserable. I don't see myself returning.
