Really cool campground! We tent camped in mid-June. We did not have a reservation and got to the campground around 11am. Every spot was filled, even the first come first serve spots. Great place to go riding on the sand dunes. We go every year. This crampground is the closest to the water and the big dunes. There's water there, just not at each campsite. Power is provided at every campsite.
My family has been going here for pretty much my entire life. Clean (including the hands down cleanest outhouses I’ve ever experienced) and so close to the dunes it’s a super convenient place to stay while you’re recreating at St Anthony’s sand dunes. Some advice, pack some firewood for the fire pit in the evening, and make sure if your riding in the dunes you secure your cell phone. Zipper pocket works wonders to prevent another addition to the lost and found cell phone pile at the store
This is a great lake to take your children to. There are lots of tadpoles to catch, lots of leaches to pull off, and lots of sunshine to bathe in. My kids loved it. I simply liked it.
