Great place to spend with my family and create new memories that will last a life time. Although the cabins are cute and located in a great area, they are in need of some renovations. Still had a blast and would go back. Thank you to the incredible staff that made the stay even better
Woke up at 4am in the morning to extremely foul, unbearable smell in our cabin. Tried calling front desk as well as given emergency number but nobody answered. We exited cabin with all our belongings and drove to the security at the entrance. I had to request for another accommodation. I was surprised that the gentleman didn't offer it voluntarily. The provided cabin was much smaller for our party of 5 but I appreciate the fact that we got something. When we checked out I did share the ordeal at the front desk but the response was cold. Our belongings, our car still smells bad of cabin odour. Not a great experience or management response. Even after sharing this feedback post stay there hasn’t been any communication or acknowledgment. Not a great experience.
What an Amazing experience. We were up this weekend for a girls water polo tournament and our team rented cabins here. It was such an AMAZING experience for everyone that stayed. We will be doing the same next year as well. The staff was helpful and informative. Everyone that worked there had smiles and a great attitudes. I almost forgot to mention the Deer we saw at check in. Truly a great time!!! Thank you El Captain!
We love El Capitan. This was our third time staying there, and every visit makes us wish we planned for a longer trip. In fact, my only complaint is that we tried to extend our stay this time around, but we were rejected because it was too booked up! That’s not a real complaint, of course. Just a reminder to book more nights in advance next time around. Also I’d like to give special thanks to Richard who helped us out with accommodations this weekend. He provided great recommendations for the trip, as does the entire staff.
El Capitan is great experience for the family. There is so much to do from the pool and playground, to feeding the llamas at the farm, to stargazing. The kids really had a blast. My only complaint would be to maybe update the inside of the cabins a bit, especially a better ladder to climb up and down the loft but it was still nice to have fresh towels and bedsheets while still getting that camping feel. The market is so cute but a little pricey so definitely bring your own firewood and ice, but splurge on their amazing food. The pizza was so good! Thanks for the memories and we will be back.
