Good place for walking. It has paved roads for walking and cycling. Three small lakes, lots of green grass. There are cycle rental inside. Parking is not free. It is $6-8 and that includes the entrance fee.
Beautiful, magical, extremely well-maintained. There are shorter and longer loops. Not all loops are wheelchair accessible, but some are, and those are lovely. Food and drinks are not allowed inside, but at the far end of the parking lot is an open grass area and tables for picnicking. The restrooms are also there. There are no restrooms inside. Parking fees vary by day. Also, they sometimes close the center for special events. We tried to go on a weekend in October and had our plans ruined because the whole place was shut down for it. It was a bummer. So check the website for events before heading out.
Amazingly beautiful park it's a totally different from the parks I've been before. There are a lot of activities to do and have fun. One of them for me is taking pictures and fishing. It's like a poet, visited, view it and take your memories with you and you'll never forget. Then there is the train rides.
I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of enforcement regarding leash rules. Today, I saw a large dog off-leash in an area where small children were playing. Concerned for everyone’s safety, I called to report it to Sharon, who responded with, “Is the dog attacking anyone?” That is NOT the point. Rules exist for a reason—dogs should be leashed unless in designated areas like the dog park. I expected the staff to take action, but when I passed by half an hour later, the dog was still off-leash. Clearly, nothing was done. I saw parents forced to pick up their children and cross to the other side of the road. El Dorado, do better.
Nice dog park, there is an enclosure for your dog but some people let their dog run loose without a leash outside the enclosure. Lots of squirrels. Picnic tables and restrooms
