Absolutely GORGEOUS place to camp at. I’ve been camping here for years(mainly primitive area) and am blown away every time at how beautiful this reservoir is. It typically gets windy around noon every day and stays that way until about sunset and then it is very calm. Put this spot on your bucket list for camping..YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Amazing reservoir! It’s worth the drive to get up here because it’s not crowded at all. If you’re paddle boarding, go to Coyote point because there are great rocks to explore and lots of fun little coves to walk out on. I loved this place and will definitely be coming back here.
Wonderful place to fish and enjoy a day out on a boat. Gorgeous views, great boat accommodations, and fantastic fish!
Maybe the most overhyped fishing area in the whole state of Colorado. Huge waste of time. 16 hours fishing from shore with only one fish caught the entire time. The lake looks dead due to the lack of fish activity.. and in the middle of autumn no less? 16 hours of fishing and didn't see a single fish the entire time. Maybe if you have a boat... Or live by the lake to where you can spend day after day trying to catch something. Unimpressed.
Gorgeous spot to go out on the water
11 mile receration area. I have gone fishing there for last 2 weeks. Beautiful place. They must have just stocked the lake Fishing was decent on May 16, and I caught some nice fish. 2 to 3 pounders. Lots of action. Hope to go back soon. It gets windy in the afternoon. And it was really cold at 6 am . I would recommend going there for an a day trip. Pack a lunch and grab your pole. A bad day at the lake is still be then goof day at work. Take your spouse and the dog. Just go trust me.
11 Mile Canyon is my top river for fly fishing right now. The scenery is spectacular! The trout are healthy. Got a few 20 plus fish.
