Not a bad park if you like a developed park rather than a more out in nature experience. And the park was badly damaged in Hurricane Helene just months before we visited, so the few trails there are were closed and there was still a good deal of debris left. This park is well developed with very nice campgrounds (obviously some sites nicer than others) and cabins for rental. The older cabins (11-20) are pictured and smallish, and they are in the process of building huge cabins (1-10) presumably in the place where old ones were removed. Bath houses in the campground are all different with the one on the second loop across from site 140 being not so nice, the shower heads spray everywhere except for at the bather. Others are much better. I recommend this park to “glampers” and families with children who would enjoy the playground, beach area, short trails and activities held in their shelters and amphitheater. Outdoor enthusiasts might look elsewhere.

We haven't been to a lot of state parks in GA yet (but we plan to see them all someday :)), but so far, Elijah Clark is my favorite. We came up here for Labor Day weekend after having been here for a weekend in June. This is a beautiful place. There are two campgrounds. Both are very nice, and the majority of the I think 165 campsites are on the water. We didn't go and look at the historical sites because we were too busy enjoying the beautiful view of the lake from our campsite, kayaking, and riding our bikes around the campground. It's Monday morning, and I am sad to be going home today. We have really enjoyed our time here and already booked a spot for Labor Day next year! On a side note, we don't use the bathhouses, but we did check out two of them in campground 2 (bathhouse #8 and #10). I went in the ladies' room and the family bathroom in #8, and both were pristine. #10 is an older building, and I didn't really get to check out the ladies' room because it was occupied by a mom and children, but my husband said the men's room was well-stocked and very clean. Also, the day use area is very nice and has a swimming beach and playground.

Beautiful state park on the water. We were in 72 which is a pull thru with a water view. Electric, water and cable. I would recommend getting a site in campground 2 if you can. Bathrooms are adequate. Beautiful sunsets and a very quiet park.

Campsite 14 at Elijah Clark State Park was a fantastic spot for a camping trip! The view of the lake, the shade provided by the trees, and the amenities like a picnic table, power, water, and a firepit all contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. The restrooms are clean and have laundry facilities. It's a great area to enjoy paddleboarding without too much boat traffic. I enjoyed relaxing in the peaceful environment at the park.
