Nice campground with some nice views over the water. The bathrooms are nice and have running water/flushing toilets. In the tent area, you must walk in to your spot, but none of the spots are too far and they have these kind of wheel-barrows so you can wheel your stuff in. There was a pretty large group of campers with about 40 children that was right next to our site, so that wasn't our favorite experience, but this campground was far cheaper than staying in a hotel. Keep in mind that you must pay to enter the state park in addition to your camping reservation. I wish you paid both at the same time when you made the reservation, but it's something to keep in mind for your trip here. Also, we had great cell phone reception here. (We have Verizon.)
Stunning! Just a wonderful place to RV. I stayed here 2 nights in a class C RV. The sites are level and have a concrete patio with table, BBQ, & fire ring. They are electric only sites but there's water hydrants, and a dump station available. There are multiple restrooms, but no showers. There are "rinse off" outside showers at the marina/ beach area, and a playground, & small snack store. The views are amazing, it's very quiet, you get all the "fresh" up here & it's fabulous! Highly recommend!
AMAZING campground. Park rangers were super friendly and helpful (brought us a hammock stand). Bathrooms were surprisingly nice. Playground for kids. Incredible view. Wish we loved closer.
Elk ridge campground was a perfect spot to camp after spending a few nights in the mountains. Was able to stop by and shower(for free) early in the day. I had tent site 159. Was close enough of a walk to parking lot where it wasn’t a hassle at all with bear bins at every site. They also had plenty of water spickets to fill water jugs. The views were amazing when on evening walk. Swim beach looked decent but I never went to it. I would for sure come back if wanting a campground with showers.
Quick 12 hour stay after driving the million dollar highway. Bathrooms/showers were clean. Laundry service worked great. Went swimming down at the day use area as the lake/reservoir is not quite accessible from Elk Ridge.
