We had to book last minute due to our harvest host backing out on us. Elkhead Overlook had plenty of open spots and allowed us to enter the property long after dark. We were the only ones there and it was lovely. We only used the 30 amp electrical outlet and didn't test the water hookups. The view was wonderful. We'd stay again.
Amazing camping spot!
Absolutely breathtaking, can't get any better. Road up is ok, if you are a tourist like me, I found myself ending up on the craziest mountain roads that hauling a camper up was extremely scetchy. The travel up isn't bad and the property is amazing. I also ran into the problem of every campsite that I came to was overcrowded packed and your neighbor is within 5 ft. Only three possible sites here and we left out to have the place to ourselves. Absolutely would recommend coming to stay here, also I wanted to message the house and she immediately replied.
Seems to be closed to the public. It's locked up and says private. There's no overlook.
