***Introduction / Overview***

The Elks 2433 Campground is a private, lodge-sponsored facility dedicated to supporting the activities and fellowship of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Its primary appeal is its location directly adjacent to the recreational opportunities of Pat Mayse Lake, a popular destination in Lamar County, known for its fishing, boating, and scenic beauty. The lodge’s support ensures a safe, dedicated space for members and reciprocal guests, distinguishing it from general public campgrounds.

The ambiance is distinctly local and deeply casual, with multiple RV sites that have been personalized by their occupants, creating an environment affectionately likened to the "old Sanford & Sons TV series" by one observer—meaning it is highly functional and comfortable, even if it lacks resort-style uniformity. The provision of a dedicated **meeting facility** alongside the camping sites underscores its function as a year-round community resource, not just a summer campsite. Given the numerous camping vehicles and trailers present, the sites appear to be well-utilized for long-term and seasonal stays, reflecting a strong sense of ownership and community among the users.

Paris TX Elks Lodge 2433 sponsors a frequently used campground on County Rd 34950 on the south side of Pat Mayse Lake. From US-271 turn west on County Rd 34950 for 2.8 miles. The Elks Campground is just north of the old Hogues Landing Boy Scout Camp & south of First Presbyterian Church of Paris, Scout Camp (both of which look untended & mostly abandoned). Multiple gated entries from the road. Grounds are well mowed & trimmed. 🚙 There are a meeting facility & several RV sites in the campground. Many of these sites appear "staked-out" w/ decorations & equipment, several of which sport a wide assortment of camping vehicles & trailers. These RV sites are reminiscent of the old Sanford & Sons TV series - cluttered but comfortable. 🦌 Elks Care and Elks Share 🐾 🦌 🦆 🎣 🐟 🐜 🐍 🚤
