Customer Reviews
As a part of a group of about 80, we visited this camp (and surrounding area, including Workman Creek Tubs) for three days in June of 2024; and we really enjoyed it. Beyond its well maintained campsite, and affordable rental price, it was located among multiple other great opportunities (i.e., repelling). It was cooler during the day than the valley, and the nights cooled down a lot. Admittedly, there were a lot of flies for a period, and the camp host wasn't sure why. Overall is was a good campsite.
Wasn't able to actually go in as I was on the trail adjacent to the camp but the camp looks pretty cool. If I was a kid still which if not... I would definitely ask to go here 🤠🤙🏻 looks like plenty of stuff to do with a year-round running Creek next to it.
I love this campground. Been coming here for years and each time I do the amenities keep getting better and better. There are horseshoe pits, basketball courts, board games, tetherballs, jungle gyms, even a CrossFit type area. The showers were very clean and the water felt great. Beware of the weak toilets as you will be likely to clog them and have to clean up your mess. The cabins are also clean and when you open the windows you can feel the nice cool breeze. While staying here, make sure to do some act of service for the hosts and Elks Club as they have done so much for this camp. They are very kid friendly, in fact, good luck staying here if you don't have kids. I wish Workman Creek would flow year round, though. It was really dry in 2018. Go Elks!
I went here on a girl's camp with a huge group and our bus broke down when it was time to leave. The camp director and everyone was so reassuring. We ended up leaving quite late though. There was no service at camp which most of the time is awesome but we couldn't contact our bus so the camp people let us use their landline so we were saved! It was a stressful thing trying to get all of the girls out but we were definitely taken care of here. We went repelling near the camp but other than that we didn't leave the camp ground much it's got everything there, showers, hot water, flushable toilets, a camp store, and we went down to the creek near our campground and had so much fun. Was it stressful? Yes. But I'm so glad we had the problems we did at THIS campsite. Highly recommended
Great place. Lodge #1576 go up every year to help get the camp ready for the summer. Several lodges from around Arizona go and help every year. The camp is free for any group that wants to go. Just have to make an appointment. Hope everyone that goes this year has a great time.
Amazing place great for large groups tons of hikes and best kept secret in Arizona
