Emerald Bay Campground

Fairly quiet camp site. Sites are reservable but it was not fully booked when we were there. Sites offer reasonable privacy although some may pass through trying to get to the lake. Beautiful lake but not much else to do at the park other than lake stuff - so bad weather may mean a short drive to Lone Butte or 100 Mile to find something to do inside.

I've been here before. It's an excellent spot in August.... busy but pretty quiet. Lake is great for swimming and fairly warm in August. Lake is crystal clear.

We had campsite E40, right on the lakeside. It's one of the better ones with nice access to the lake. 38-44 have nice little beach coves, the other sites have steeper and rockier lakefront. The sites are nice and big but do lack privacy, however that's to be expected at such a place. The playground for kids is great and the public beach and picnic area are super big and inviting. There are also trails for hiking and walking your dogs at both the west and east ends of the campground as well as plenty of little trails woven through the woods around the sites.

Well maintained, quiet and clean. There’s a playground and it’s dog friendly so if you like absolute quiet, this isn’t the spot for you! Ranger comes around a few times a day to sell firewood if you run out. Pit toilets are clean and there’s a decent sized swimming area off of the lake. Group space on the lake features a big shelter with a stove and tables, and water/toilets close by. If you get a spot right against the water, note that it’s a bit of a cliff to get down to swim but it’s a pretty view.

Great site!! There’s a playground and beach area, but you have to go down some stairs to access it. If you’re looking for a boat launch there’s one if you keep going past the campground (3 mins or less driving) , or you can double back to the arrowhead day use area (12 mins)
