Great park for day camping and even overnight camping. There are options for tents and Lean-to sites. This state park is big and has reasonable rates for overnight camping. Excellent location and lake view. Walking path around the lake and has options for activities like kayaking. Has common restrooms and showers.

Beautiful state park and campground. We came in as a walk in last minute and they were able to accommodate us. We stayed in 40 one night and 41 the next. We were able to see the northern lights from the parking lot by the lake. Hiking trails were nice. Quiet, and clean. Will definitely come back!

We rented a canoe and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon paddling around the picturesque lake. The park is also great for fishing, but make sure to get a Vermont Fishing Permit, as Fish and Game will fine you if caught without one. It’s a peaceful spot to enjoy the outdoors, whether you’re boating or fishing!

Cell service (Verizon) is spotty. Section A is decent with three bars on 5G, but sections B and C maybe have 4G with a bar or two. The higher you go, the worse it gets.... Oddly. Section A is the lower with C as the highest. The lake is nice and the trail around it is scenic. Staff are amazing. One negative is that you can hear the traffic on Rt 7, a main road, like it's next to you.

The beach was on the small side but perfect for the kids. Had lots of hiking trails. The Lake Trail was our favorite. We tried to fish off of the trail but it had so many trees it was difficult to cast. Kayak and boat rentals were a plus! Beautiful views of the mountains. The snack bar was cute, although not a ton of selection (snack size chips, soda, juice, water). All in all, it is a great place to spend the day with the kids!
