Customer Reviews
This KOA was excellent for the kids. Numerous things for them to do which included a large pond for swimming with tube bounce. The hosts and staff were pleasant and the grounds were well used. The shower/store were clean and the bathrooms were clean but needed a cobweb cleaning. I stayed during the week so it was very quiet. Also, they looked to be preparing for Halloween, again great for kids
I have been camping my whole life and never knew of this place, which is crazy being we live so close. It is now our new favorite quick get away. Upon arrival and checking in, someone escorts you to your campsite and they helped guide us back in between trees. The facilities were very clean. The lake was beautiful, warm and didn’t have that dirty smell or yucky feeling when you get out. My kids loved the floating obstacle course and slide. They had night time activities like movies under the stars and a dance party. Ice cream parlor, pizza, store, etc. it is also on the smaller side, but we liked that. We felt very safe letting our kids bike alone, this was actually the first campground we let our kids do that. The owners were very kind and professional and you could tell they enjoyed what they have created. Hoping to get in for a Halloween camp, but if not we will definitely be back next year and every year after!
Stayed the weekend of August 9-12 2024. First time. Friday was a little rowdy due to a corporate event being held onsite. But some families who were somewhat regulars there informed me that it wasn't typical of this campground. The staff is plentiful and do a great job of keeping the campground clean and maintained and trash is picked up often There are activities planned all day everyday for the kids as well as some for the adults. They send text updates throughout the day reminding visitors of the scheduled events and opportunities. My family of 5 will most definitely be back soon.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms, instantly feeling like part of the Emmett KOA family. The staff's genuine warmth and eagerness to assist made me feel right at home. It was evident that they were committed to ensuring every guest's comfort and satisfaction. The amenities provided were nothing short of excellent. The campground boasted an array of facilities designed to cater to every need. However, what truly impressed me were the spotless bathrooms. Maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, they provided a sanctuary of comfort and hygiene. Even during peak hours, I never once encountered a shortage of hot water—an absolute luxury when camping under the starlit skies. What truly sets Emmett KOA apart is their unwavering commitment to going above and beyond for their guests. Whether it's organizing engaging activities or providing insider tips on exploring the local area, the staff's dedication to ensuring a memorable stay is truly commendable. Their passion for hospitality shines through in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on visitors like myself. For a home away from home experience surrounded by nature's wonders, Emmett KOA is unbeatable.
My family and our dogs spontaneously packed up our 30’ camper for an awesome last-minute vacation. We booked our spot on the same day and got the exact site I wanted. The owner and his right-hand man Austin were incredibly helpful, guiding us through hooking up at our site and pointing out all the cool activities available. It felt like glamorous camping - they even had pizza, wings, and ice cream, plus a store for anything we forgot to bring. There were so many activities for kids, like a giant inflatable trampoline, water fun, movie nights, a barrel train, and tons more that we didn't even have time to try. The campground was spotless, the staff were super friendly, and they went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time. We're definitely going back!
We have been staying at this KOA for 3 years now. We are always pleased with the cabins. The campground is a good size when you have children or you just want everything in easy walking distance. Large enough to go for walks but not huge. The grounds are well maintained and there is just the right amount of things to do. The lake is always fun. The service in the office is always great! They even prepared a surprise gift from my husband to me for when I arrived, thanks Katie! Went above and beyond.
This campground is very nice and the people are great! Gives you that small town feel. However, it’s a little louder than I would like for a campground. The first night, a loud train went by 4-5 times throughout the night! We slept terrible! Not their fault… but the people are loud too. Quiet time doesn’t start until 11pm and people are very loud up until 11, and a few campsites were still up shouting after that time. I wish the campground would go around reminding people of quiet time. One campsite, had music blaring! All of the people went in for the night around 10:30, but they kept their music going. Just because you can have music until 11, doesn’t mean you have to. That was my only complaint about this place. But the bathrooms were always clean! The obstacle course in the lake is included, with many other activities. It’s small, but not too small. Great campground and would be happy to go back if it was a little quieter at night.
We always have a fantastic time at the Emmett KOA. This campground is perfect. It has everything a campground should! Nice wooded, roomy & clean sites, activities for the kids, a great playground, large pond, fantastic swimming area, large beach, catch and release fishing, a trail around the pond, food concessions along with ice cream & friendly staff who really engage with the patrons. Who wouldn't want to camp here? HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You won't regret it!
Our family LOVES this KOA. The bouncing pillow, the obstacle course on the lake and putt putt are a blast. We enjoy the activities planned by the staff and also appreciate the wood and pizza delivery right to the campsite (ordered via text which is also super convenient). Great path along the lake to walk the dog in a more private setting, especially if you have a friendly dog that wants to stop at every site to say hello. The owners are great to talk to and they make us feel like a part of the family.
I want to like this campground as it has a nice location and setup. What could be great for kids can be a nightmare for younger kids and kids who appreciate sleep. There seems to be no quiet hours on this campground. We come here now for the third time over the last 3 years and every single time we have at least 1 group of people who keep the entire campground up until 1 AM in morning or longer. There is no one around at night to keep things in order and also during the day the campground is run by Highschool season workers. This will be our last time. Too bad since this one had potential to make long lasting memories (in a good way).
