Emporia / I-95 KOA Holiday

We were told there was just the one spot left and there were so many available. Light from neighboring cabin on all night, loud train right next to us and highly made it for a less than restful sleep but the washrooms were nice. Price was a bit steep for a primitive spot but worked in a pinch on the way down to florida.

Lovely quiet, clean, smallish RV park. Perfect for 2 tired travelers to recuperate for 2 nights, which we did. I found the distant train whistle soothing. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. The ever fresh available coffee was welcome. I would easily return. Dr. Dorree

We stopped here just to use the dump station for our RV. The ladies in the office were very nice and helpful. The location off the highway was extremely convenient. Also, getting to the dump station within the RV Park was equally convenient. In and out quickly. We visited our Son in VA. We were able to park and stay in our camper on his 5 acres, which was very convenient since his house is too small for us to stay in. We have used a dump station at an RV park close to his house in the past. However, they no longer offer that service. The closest place we could find was the I-95 KOA in Emporia. This place is AMAZING!! The ladies in the office were extremely nice, helpful, and friendly. Their maintenance man even helped answer some travel questions we had. He was so friendly and helpful as well. All of this helpfulness for the $20 plus tax they charged us for using one of their sites to dump. It's rare to experience customer service like that these days. They went above and beyond to help us.

This KOA is under GREAT management!!! They actually care for the guests! It's well taken care of, clean bath house(s), has different sized sites to accommodate a variety of guests. The pool is amazing, as well as the game area(outside & gameroom inside). They also have a laundry area, which came in handy!! Overall 10/10 and I highly recommend to ANYONE!!! Ask for Billie Jo and she'll take care of you!

We stopped here on way to Myrtle Beach ⛱️ After a blowout on travel trailer tire in Richmond and searching for replacement we were tired. We made it here around 1030p and self check in pass and site number were waiting for us right pass camp office. We set up for the night and took a shower in very nice wash rooms. Campground was well lit in public areas which is nice when in middle of woods. We couldn't have been more appreciative. Thank you!
