Endeavor Point

I stayed here in a tent one night in February, and had a good time. This area along the Patuxent was beautiful, the site was well-maintained, and the host was friendly and helpful. The pier was a great place to sit, though I may want to bring a chair next time. The area was peaceful, but not quiet. There was a fair amount of traffic noise from the nearby bridge, even throughout the night. Still, I would recommend this campsite to anyone, and I hope to come back sometime.

I recently spent a weekend at Endeavor Point in Benedict, MD, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is breathtaking, with a beautiful private beach and a pier perfect for fishing or watching the sunset. The moment you arrive, you can feel the stress melt away, thanks in part to the serene surroundings and the warm welcome from the friendly hosts. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the getaway. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. One of the standout features of Endeavor Point is its convenient location – just a little over an hour's drive from Alexandria, VA. This makes it an ideal spot for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Overall, I highly recommend Endeavor Point for anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. Whether you're there to fish, watch the sunset, or simply unwind, this place has it all. I can't wait to return!

Hard to believe a place like this is hidden in plain sight. So conveniently located, yet completely cut off from distractions. We had such a fantastic time and the vistas could not be better. Highly recommend and we’ll be returning.

Fantastic camping ground that is so close to DC. We came up for one night mid September, the place was clean, safe with plenty to do. They have a fishing pier, we went stand up paddling, swimming and windsurfing on top of your usual camping activities. The owner of the camp site, Sophia, was super nice, very accommodating and she made us felt very welcomed. We did a lot of camping in the area around DC, but this is so far the best due to water access and close proximity. Also, there were not as many jellies. We were at Mayo beach a few weeks before and you couldn't enter the water. This place had one or two but none of the jelly fish bay soup I was expecting. Overall, I highly recommend this campground. Come to camp or even for one day. Such a great option that is near by.

A most beautiful winter break ! Working on a new project and took a few days off and away from DC to organize and complete the final proposals. A friend suggested this stunning option...only 50 miles from Washington DC ! Absolutely agree with the comment that "This place is a gem for anyone looking to relax and unwind" and will add to let imagination expand and create! Stayed at the "Libra's Lookout" and the name fantastically describes the vast views from a breath-taking sunrise to a mesmerizing sunset with all kinds of red and orange color hues blending in the horizon before the serene night sky settles in! Need an easy to go, easy to stay, easy to enjoy unique moments place? THIS IS IT !!! The hosts are amazing…they became life friends at the speed of light! Just the same for the 2 heart warming jovial pups that welcome guests ! Will be back !

Nestled in a quiet town, this campground offers a peaceful retreat. It’s the best non-touristy campground I’ve ever been to! The pier is fantastic, especially for cat fishing. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful with any needs we had when we were there.
