A very pleasant and quiet stop, the bathrooms were so clean, an amazing change from the pit toilets I was imagining. Water and bathrooms are by the main building. I had the campground all to myself, paid online, great sunset views of town and lull of cows mooing as I set up the tent. If using google maps it may try to direct you to the back road access to the campground, which I found confusing, probably easier to take the turn directly to the main building and then drive past it to the campground.

Amazing place to camp if stopping by Escalante. We were the only ones staying during a summer weekday. There is water, a fire pit and also clean new bathrooms. Just follow the signs to the heritage center from the main road and you will see the campground sign just past it. We didn’t reserve in advance but just paid online when we arrived

Nice little campground! The sites are pretty close together but there were only 2 other groups there when we camped. There are a few water spickets around the camp, and the bathrooms are fantastic! Running water and sinks.

Running water. Picnic tables in shade. Large, new bathroom facilities. Primitive camping but that's what this national monument is all about. Easily reserve online and just show up. Likely a spot open. The museum nearby would be happy for any support

Great views. Mostly unknown campsite so you can have peace by yourself. Modern restrooms with flush toilets and sinks. Picnic tables, fire pits, tent ($18) and RV spots ($25).

I'm not one to be picky about a campsite or to leave a negative review, but here I find myself doing both. I rarely pay for a campsite, but when I do, I expect there to be water and bathrooms. The bathrooms were out of service, there was no porta potty or outhouse, and no one at the visitor center (on a weekday) to ask about. Save your money and stay in one of the thousands of free and much more beautiful campsites around the Escalante area.
