One of the best campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Yes, the showers are paid, but they are very clean. The only issue is the curtains that don’t close properly, so your belongings will probably get wet. I felt safe here, and apart from rabbits and deer, there are no dangerous wild animals around. The campsite was clean and perfect for a tent.
This was a very nice campground just outside of Rocky Mountain national park. The campground staff was always very friendly. We actually extended our stay by 2 more nights due to the convenience of it. The maintenance staff was always around working, to ensure upkeep. The bathrooms were very clean. Showers looked nice, but you did need to pay for them. There is a big corn hole play area and nice playground. Several large rock areas for kids to climb on. The pool was really clean and nice. Temperature was refreshing. Laundry facilities were also clean and cost me $3 to do a pretty large load. Mary’s lake is right across street. We saw many mule deer around and in the campground every evening.
Just didn’t care for the short showers and the shower curtains weren’t fully covering the stall so things got a little wet in the changing area. The bathrooms were otherwise great. I felt reasonably safe here. The shelters were great- we stayed in a group campsite because there were around 8 of us camping.
This campground is staffed by friendly, helpful people and offers a nice base for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Estes Park, being only a few miles away. The modern bathhouse is institutional, but well maintained and cleaned, with an outdoor service sink and handy a change machine for the showers. RV sites lack shade but are reasonably sized. The playground and pool are nice. We spotted deer and elk grazing in the brushy area between the playground and bathhouse. We would definitely stay here again - though hopefully without the wildfire smoke wafting in from afar.
Clean bathrooms, nice facilities, otherwise not as expected. The photos on the website made each campsite look far more secluded than reality. You can see everyone at all times. Plus there is a grumpy old man going 10-15mph in a gator yelling at cars for going 7mph
