We went to Illuminights again! I love this place! It’s like a winter wonderland . Love the hot chocolate and they usually have fire pits where you can roast marshmallows. It was a very cold night but great photo opps!!
The Illuminights was the best yet! I like how each year is different and goes a different direction. They need a bit more seating for the weary and around the food.
We love the light display this year for Christmas!!! The paved paths and tight gravel on the non paved paths made life with a wagon so much easier
Overall, this is a neat experience. Too many people around us seemed to be in a hurry to get through it. We took our time and enjoyed each part.
We visited the Illuminights last night. It was a wonderful experience. Roanoke has done a great job turning the park into a winter wonderland! It's a great place to bring the kids. Several vendors were there selling coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and many other things. The lights were beautiful! The park also offers many hiking trails that are really easy to walk. A couple of the trails go all the way down to the river. If you decide to attend the Illuminights, we will need to purchase tickets ahead of time through the Explore Park website. The tickets are $17.50 each. I hope you go, it's a fun time!
