Extended Stay America - San Rafael - Francisco Blvd. East

Me and my husband had a horrible experience here. They say they just renovated the floor yet there was multiple things that were broken and the sink was plugged up and my husband had to fix it himself since they didn't have anyone to do it. The manager is just an awful person and a liar. Some of the staff are just as worse. First we were comped off a week of our stay due to dealing with a crazy lunatic neighbor and having to deal with them for a full week. She then went back on her word and changed it to 3 days then 2 days. They would try and take money out of my account on random days even though we had just paid for the week a couple days before. She then said we were a week behind which we weren't she then called the cops to have us leave the hotel and told them we hadn't paid in weeks. I have never had such a horrible experience at a hotel before in my life. I wouldn't trust anything they say to you. They obviously have no idea what they are doing

I'm not crazy about the hotel being right beside a busy highway, but even with a room facing the road the noise is minimal. The rooms are clean and the staff has been very helpful. It's been quiet at night and seems safe. the discounts for longer stays are appreciated.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in August 2024, and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a cozy seating area and a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly, and the manager, Anne, went out of her way to ensure my stay was smooth, even helping me with a late checkout. Overall, it’s a great option for a no-fuss, comfortable stay, and I’d definitely consider returning in the future.

Dog friendly hotel, conveniently located off the highway. Not too far from Oakland/SF/Marin etc. They have a pet relief area that also doubles as their smoking area. Even at night, the parking lot felt safe. Shower was nicely sized with a powerful water pressure. Kitchenette was useful as there was a fridge and microwave. No complaints.

The Extended Stay America in San Rafael is perfect while spending your time in Marin County. For the price it cannot be beat. The small kitchens are very practical and convenient for those times you don't want to eat out. It's a minute away from the Richmond bridge and about 15 minutes away from the Golden Gate bridge. It's a short drive to downtown San Rafael and all of the great restaurants on Fourth Street. We visit our old home, California, 4 or 5 times per year and we always stay at the Extended Stay!
