Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee

We had a very nice person check us in. Gave us great directions and suggestions on dining in the area. Our room was clean and place was very nice. Breakfast was free and simple. Right across the street was the casino. Will come back here again.

I would not stay here again. The rooms are very outdated and need a major update. The bathroom was not clean and the beds are hard and small. The room had a weird smell. It was not worth the money we paid at all. As far as convenience to the casino, you can’t get any better. But if you like to stay in a nice hotel, this is not it.

Let me start by saying, that the staff here is wonderful and friendly. And if you're staying here for the casino, you couldn't be any closer unless you stay at Harrah's. We were not in town for the casino. We were there for the scenery and parks, which are amazing!! So being close to a casino was not a good point for us. I have heard that there is a lot of crime around this town, which I guess is why the front desk person made a point of telling us that they lock the hotel front door at 11:00. We were lucky that we did not have any issues with crime. I always stay at Marriott properties when possible. I have been to quite a few Fairfield Inns in my life, and I have to say that this is one of the worst. Details... ROOM: The first thing I noticed when we arrived was at the carpet was pretty damp outside of the bathroom. There was no odor, so I was hoping it was from a carpet cleaning (positive thoughts). I just wore shoes until it dried. The bathroom tile floor was suspect. I'm not sure if it was stained or dirty (see photos). The bathroom fan rattled and sounded like a lawn mower. The wall fixture next to the bed was loose. For a while the internet wasn't working. On the good side, The bed was comfortable and the pillows were pretty good. PROPERTY: The first morning we were here, they didn't have a breakfast attendant so the front desk person (bless her!) was doing the best she could running back and forth. There was no hot breakfast. But there was coffee and non-dairy flavored creamer (important for me) The second day, there was limited hot breakfast. But the eggs were burnt (see photo). Again, I don't think there was a dedicated breakfast person and the one that was there was doing the best they could! One of the elevators was out of order. And, the entire property could use some updates and care. But it seemed clean.

Pricey. Simple but clean rooms Breakfast ok. Needed more attention to sticking items. Cheaper than Harrahs

I have stayed here twice in a week. The rooms I have had have been clean and staff has been friendly. This last stay the room next to me had been smoking cigarettes in their bathroom all morning causing my room to STINK! I notified the front desk and while I did receive a her that stinks…I never received I am sorry how can we make your stay better? Anyways, I will be back. I will not let one stay deter me from staying again. Location is ideal to the casino and other attractions.
