Leaving this 5 star review for Victor who was kind enough to accommodate an early check in for us since we were headed down to Homestead from West Palm Beach for a wedding. Had this not happened, check in being at 3pm would not have given us enough time to get ready and make the wedding. Thank you Victor! Aside from their great customer service, the room was good, beds were a bit too springy and reading other sub par Google reviews about this place makes me happy we got a good room at least. It’s also Homestead; the area is not much of an eye catcher but the stay was great for what we needed it for. Saved us a long drive back home. They had free breakfast which was ok for the most part.
I am really surprised by the amenities at this location. It is small but it is well equipped. We checked in seamlessly without any issues. I toured the building and it seems to be a new building. Plenty of parking space on each corner. The Pool is not bad either. The personnel are welcoming and friendly. These are the images I took from my visit.
Rooms were neat and clean, as was the lobby. So for a place to sleep it was fine. The breakfast in the morning was extremely disappointing as all I wanted was some oatmeal and there was no one around to refill it. This was at 8:00 am. TV in the room, also didn't work but I didn't care quite enough to call. I would certainly go back if I needed the place in Homestead but They can do better there.
I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Homestead Florida City and overall had a great experience. The hotel itself is modern, fresh, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making it a pleasant stay. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast. The options were quite limited and not up to the standard I was expecting. My only real complaint is regarding a $10 charge that was added to my card without any prior notice. I later found out it was a parking fee, but the receptionist didn’t inform me about this at check-in. What made it frustrating is that there was free parking available nearby, and I would have gladly taken that option if I had known. This lack of transparency about parking fees left a bad impression.
We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night in late December 2024. We used this as our homebase for exploring Biscayne National Park and then off to the Keys. Check-in was uneventful and staff was fine and not very talkative. The atrium area was huge and modestly decorated for the holiday season. There was a corner market with snacks and food if you needed it. We had brought our own. Not sure about restaurants in the area as we didn't look. Be aware that there is a parking fee for the hotel. There were plenty of spots everywhere so not sure why they were charge extra for parking as we are only used to this is crowded big cities. We stayed in room 609. 2 Queen Suite with Sofabed. They had the room listed as 5-person but only provided 2 towels. We went to ask for 3 more towels and were told they only had 2 left. However when another family walked by not 15 mins later, she said she saw the same staff member hand them 2 towels. This could've been coincidence that the towels were replenished in those 15 mins but we will never know. We asked for 2 more towels the next evening of our stay. The room was larger than we expected. It had 2 TVs which is nice so the kids don't fight. The mini fridge was the smaller models which was unfortunate as we had to store some stuff in our cooler. The water pressure in the shower was decent. The provided shampoos, conditioner and body wash were nice. The beds were okay but not as nice as the ones we normally get at Holiday Inn Expresses where we normally stay. We needed a larger room and the local one didn't have suites available to accommodate more than 4 people. The gym was nice and big but had a large bank of windows right in front of the elevators. So it was awkward if you were in there as everyone would just stare at your when waiting for elevators. The gym was deserted night one but next morning, every machine was being used. The gym did have a nice water bottle filler which is a plus. The pool was heated and my youngest and I tried it out and loved it. The problem was the air temp was very chilly. So once we got in, we didn't want to get out. The pool is oddly located on the side of the hotel and not easy to get to but we enjoyed it for a hour or so. No one else joined us the entire time. Breakfasts was great on Sunday morning with waffle maker but we didn't know that wasn't an everyday thing. Monday morning was more of a letdown. The selection and variety of hot items was just less. The one thing that was super cool was the oatmeal station. They had a variety of cool toppings like walnuts and sunflower and pumpkin seeds. We made a nice trail mix to go with the toppings. Overall the price was comparatively reasonable for location and time of year. We would probably stay again if we were in the area and needed the extra space.
