Fairfield Inn & Suites Santee

Clean! Welcoming! And great stay all around. So nice to have a good stay. Feel like the hotels along 95 have been worse lately but last night’s stay at this Fairfield was great. Highly recommend. Breakfast is really good too. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Excellent Staff. Excellent hotel. Pet friendly room was really clean without the smell of dogs because normally at other pet friendly hotels my dogs go crazy sniffing around and that did not happen at this hotel. Excellent place to stay if you are traveling with Pets!

The hotel permits guests to hang out in the lobby and watch TV (or do whatever) with their dogs. This evening, I was accosted in the lounge/breakfast area by two small but very loud and aggressive dogs. They came out from behind a seating area unexpectedly and caused me to misstep. I can understand a hotel allowing dogs in guest rooms, but it is not fair to other guest to allow dogs to hang out in the lobby. Guests who want to spend time with dogs that are not well behaved should relax in their guestroom or take the dogs with them outside. I sure hope we don’t have to fend off dogs when we try to have breakfast in the lobby tomorrow. I was told by the staff that they do not permit dogs at breakfast, but based on my experience tonight, I would be surprised if the staff would enforce that rule. They didn’t do anything about the aggressive barking dogs in the lobby this evening. Also, the mini fridge in the room did not have a freezer compartment. We asked the hotel staff if we could store the ice blocks from our cooler overnight in one of their freezers. We routinely make that request at hotels that do not have freezers in the room. This was the first time we had ever been told no. They claimed they did not have any freezer space available. On the plus side, the hotel is obviously newer. Our room was nice and seemed very clean. Also, the room was very dark and quiet when sleeping. However, if you are allergic to dogs or just prefer not to have to be around poorly behaved dogs, you may want to stay elsewhere. I’m not sure that we would stay here again.

The hotel is good but I had to give it a 3 rating since the breakfast was partially available at the 6:30 am start time. The front desk manager did his best to supply coffee and bagels which was very commendable, but no eggs or sausage etc. was available which was disappointing. The rooms are new, clean and stocked with all the expected toiletries, coffee fridge and microwave

Great location right off of 95. The rooms were well kept and comfortable. The staff was courteous and made check-in very easy. Breakfast has a good assortment of items and was pretty good. It has all of the usual foods.
