Fairfield Inn & Suites Staunton

Our stay was wonderful! You can always tell when people truly care. Not only was the food delicious, but the thoughtful gestures made all the difference. Brenda’s kindness in bringing us extra bottles of water for our kids was a small yet meaningful touch that we deeply appreciated. Additionally, Patrick went out of his way to find a solution for my husband’s request, demonstrating exceptional attentiveness and dedication to guest satisfaction. If you’re looking for a place to stay that combines outstanding service, great food, and a genuinely caring team, look no further. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

Overall the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay. There are a couple things that were problematic. I don't know if this is common amongst all hotels since COVID, but it seems like if you have more than one night stay room service is no longer a thing. I requested that our room be cleaned after the first night and they did not clean it. I asked if we could just get the room vacuumed. They said that we could use their vacuum but we had to come down to the lobby to get it. Pool was warm but if you have goggles the water was absolutely filthy, haha. The next day I requested again and we came back to the hotel around 3:00 and it still was not cleaned. I had to call the front desk and they finally sent somebody else up to clean it.. didn't really clean, but they did empty the trash and give us replacement towels. We requested a blanket and pillow through the app, which they never responded to so don't waste your time using the app, but call the desk. We also had to go down to get these, they did not bring them up to us which we have found a standard service at other Marriott hotels. The breakfast cleaner lady Brenda seemed to be friendly on the first day and brought us all water bottles, which was nice, however after she realized we were not going to tip her she did not bring us water bottles on the second or the third day.. just deliberately walking past us to offer water bottles to other tables. There was a worker on the fourth floor and I wish I had remembered his name because he was super friendly, talked to us about how he warmed up the pool for our kids, and very considerate. So in terms of staff it's a mixed bag. Overall I'd say this Marriott is better than the average hotel but poor quality for a Marriott.

We stayed there on our way to Florida. The hotel is right off the highway with easy on and easy off access. Standard hotel, standard rooms. Quiet space with no humming AC or fridge, comfortable bed with nice pillows. Clean gym with 2 ellipticals and 3 treadmills and free weights and small indoor pool. Breakfast was nice with typical options. We loved the fresh blueberries 🫐. Staff was super friendly.

Super convenient hotel right off of I-81. The staff were excellent and professional and the room fantastic. Several restaurants are within walking distance and there is a petrol station across the street.

This place met all expectations from cleanliness and comfort all the way to… a fire pit for breakfast? I quit staying at non-Marriott when I realized that they maintain very good quality control no matter if it’s a popular resort area or just some place I have to be. I’m a fan. “Bonvoy!”
