Falcon Group Campground

Nice group campground with three sights you have to call to reserve. There’s are nice vault toilets, potable water, various picnic tables and BBQ’s depending on which sight. It’s located in a nice lightly forested area with trails and views. The road up is very narrow with only one lane up for the last mile. Blue Jay Campground is a quarter mile away with nice campsites ($20 a night) if you want to stay overnight.

Other than the asphalt by the bathrooms breaking apart and no lights to show you where it ends at night or in the bathrooms, it was a fantastic time. Big campsite. Plenty of room. Nice layout if you want privacy. Big group and we had 5 tents one single and 2 family size and 2 dual family and it all fit and we were not right next to any other tents. Great place for the party and feast.

I made the reset a week ago and when I got there the forest rangers told me it burnt down 3 weeks ago And I even got a confirmation email telling me not to forget to be there So why didn't I get a update on the forest being burnt down? just now I prepared for a very long time because this was my first time camping and I am very upset that this company didn't tell me that the forest burnt down and continued to sell reservations

However, it's worth noting that the restrooms at the campground left something to be desired. While they were functional, it was clear that they could benefit from improved ventilation. The lack of sufficient airflow made the restrooms somewhat stuffy, which could be uncomfortable, especially during warmer months. It would be great if the management could address this issue to enhance the overall camping experience. Additionally, it's important to exercise caution when staying at Falcon Group Campground. The area is known to have tarantulas, scorpions, and rattlesnakes. While encounters with these creatures are relatively rare, it's advisable to be vigilant and take necessary precautions. Stay alert, follow safety guidelines, and be mindful of your surroundings to ensure a safe and enjoyable camping experience. Despite the minor drawbacks, Falcon Group Campground, offers a picturesque setting and great opportunities for hiking.
