Nice place to camp with great views and the sound of the waves drowns out road noise. But if you don’t pay for hookups you cannot fill your camper with water. They should let you know when you are choosing your site. This seems really lame to me since they have plenty of hose bibs. They expect you to fill water bottles, but my camper has a 25 gallon tank and a sink so that is not convenient. The camp host were also very unfriendly.
Excellent place to watch the sunset! There is a cafe nearby that serves a variety of food and beverages. Easy access to the beach down a set of stairs.
This beach would get a 4, but in these close camp spots my neighbor is choosing to play their music loud enough for the southern campsites to hear their music. I came to hear the sound of the waves hitting the beach.
One of the very, very few places you can RV right at the ocean's shore. That, in itself, is everything. The camp spots are very close to one another, but getting friendly with neighbors is something most RV'ers are accustomed to. The host's camp is pretty well walled off with no apparent means of easy communication. That said, in an emergency it would be easy to access the host's RV if needed. The bathrooms and grounds are very clean, well-kept and tidy. 100 % a beautiful spot to camp and experience.
Our favorite place to camp with it being so close to Ventura Main street it’s a charming town! You are basically right on the ocean and we always see dolphins and sea lions and we always have a great time! Also people that camp here are always nice and respectful. Also we are ok with people having fun at night and allow a little noise. We are all pretty respectful of each others space.
