Let's talk about farmcamp. Conveniently located just 5 miles off Interstate 85 in Tuskegee, Al. Right off the exit is a Popeye's Chicken and a Pilot Travel Center for food (they have great pizza), snacks, beer, fuel, etc. There's also a Piggly Wiggly nearby. Their self check-in was really easy. You'll get an email with all your check-in info including directions, gate code and more. Be sure to go to the main entrance (2nd gate). Each site is clearly marked and overall the campground is very navigable. Full service RV sites are located near the entrance very close to The Barn. This is where the stunningly beautiful pool, hot tub, bar and bathhouse is located. Open and private showers are available. A drinking fountain where you can fill up your water bottles (I found this to be a nice touch). Outdoor shower, urinal and sink. Plenty of lounge chairs, tables and chairs for socializing. This was the heartbeat of the campground where everyone gathered, relaxed and mingled. Just past the pool is a large, cute seating area around a fire pit. The main road here will lead you to the camping area. The glamping tents are simply magical. Tucked away between the trees down a winding pebble path. It's simply cute as shit! Their bunkhouse is located in this area as well. Offering a barracks-style housing, tastefully decorated with enough bunks and lockers for 8 solo campers or a group of friends. All these "tent style" accommodations are air conditioned. Electric and primitive tent sites are scattered along the main drive with ample shade and wood mulch making it ideal for your perfect setup. Furthest from the pool but easily walkable with a direct, enchanting little path leading you back and forth. You will truly feel like you're camping in the woods. Growing up in the country, the creek on this property is amazing. I found myself laying on a sandbar about 5 inches deep and letting the water shoosh by me. Other areas are deeper where you can enjoy tubing and kayaking (rain levels depending). The "West Beach" has more than enjoy room to enjoy with a fire pit area as well. Sorry guys, I forgot to get pics of the creek but I was with Jesus in that creek water ⛪ Overall I recommend Farmcamp as a must go. With this being only Phase One of their master plan, it's exciting to see how this place will grow. The owners are super chill. Shout out to Vance, Devin and Jamie (you guys are great)! Check out their website for info and visit the events page! They have some great stuff going on.
The owners couldn't have been more accommodating to the needs of their guest. Truly the most spectacular bathhouse I've seen at a campground which was attached to the equally nice pool and large jacuzzi. Loved that the RV spaces had full hookup. And Seriously....the night bonfire on the river was magical.
A great time and a beautiful place. Already booked for another trip!
