We loved this Florida State Park near St Augustine! If you like being and feeling like you're in old school Florida this is the park for you. It's about 3 miles back in from route 1. Large camp spots and very private which is what we like. They even rake by hand every spot after someone leaves for the next campers. Love it! We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet riverside park. Google maps takes you the wrong way!! Call the ranger station first. Campsites are well shaded, with central bath house, layout is not big rig friendly. Park is all dirt roads but bike able. Playground/ boardwalk/ canoe launch is a good distance from the camp ground. Nice easy hikes thru the pine flats. We used as a base to explore the greater St. Augustine area....

Large sand sites make for a bit of a mess. Did not visit bath house. Walked the camp loop and both trails. Did not access the boat launch. Beautiful drive into the park. Great access to nearby St Augustine. Did not encounter any ticks, visited park February 2023.

Uplands forest will estuary waters. Boat ramp, kayak launch and campground for RV. Kayak launch is nice except the bad parking and long walk to put in. Boat ramp is steep but easier to launch from. Parking again is very limited. Tides are the same at Bings Landing on NOAA. Be careful at low tide.

Pleasantly surprised. All the sites have tons of privacy and electric + water hookups. Since it's primarily an RV site, the showers and bathrooms are all yours! Tent camping is easy here and while you could fit 3 cars, their rules states 2 cars, 2 tents and 8 people max (better bring big tents!). There are 2 trails and a large picnic plus boat ramp sites. Going for a run from campsite to entrance and back is just over 4 miles. Every site has a fire ring and grill cover but we noticed some sites have a standing grill instead. The electric also has 15A standard plug so you can charge your electronics if you're camping. Unusually high tick activity in July so spray yourself, wear protective clothing and a hat. Everyone was friendly and its just off the highway but you feel very secluded. You're also just 15m away from St. Augustine Beach.
