We stayed in the Walleye cabin. It was spacious and clean. The lake is right there in front of the cabin, and there is a dock directly in front of this cabin. This cabin did not have a heater, though, and none of the cabins at this park allow dogs. The campground was quiet in mid-October. The shower house was clean. Most of the camper sites are small and very close together. Some are right on the water. There is a boat ramp in the campground, which was very convenient. We caught tons of bullhead off the dock but had little luck fishing via boat. This lake is very flat with very little depth variation or structure.
We stayed here in August of 2021. For being a county campground, it's a good place to stay. I like how it's basically on the water. The sites are close together, so there is not a whole lot of privacy. Wouldn't mind the water & electric hookups to be a tad closer. Our water hose didn't reach but luckily my sister & brother-in-law got us another hose.
Nice place 6/24, I was only out of Iowa license, hot shower, clean, tent $15, sweet!! Disc golf ....no one there, quiet, no barking dogs at nite...A+
New camp host this year along with my significant other Jeff. Along with the new director there are changes at the park itself making everyone's experience a better one. We take pride in our work and are here for you. Look for the park to be adding activities for children, families and friends. See you soon
Please install a handle on the boat dock. It is impossible for an old man, like me, to get out of the boat at the docj. Hadn't been for a couple of nice ladies that pulled me up, I'd probably still be there. Thank you and I'll be back. The fishing was great...
