Beautiful lake. Nice rv spots with fire ring grills and picnic tables. Water was off during winter season at sites but available at boat ramp. Unfortunately reserve America didn't mention anything about winter gate hours (7-4 instead of 7-7) so we showed up at 6 to a closed gate. Fun time backing up 25ft trailer back to the road.(Retreated to lovely Whiterock Rvpark for the night) Took dogs on a scenic walk along thawing lake and across the damn. 5e only pull through site may have more sky clearance then the others. Loved spot 4e
I was just driving my jeep around exploring our forests etc... and I came across this campground. It was like $10 to enter. The ranger said the views were beautiful. It was just a road through the campground. Lake looked pretty disgusting. I can't believe people would go in that water or fish there? Tingley beach in Albuquerque looks cleaner. As I was leaving, I understood why so many cars were turning around as they approached the pay station. I was just disappointed in the ranger saying the views are amazing. I was even disappointed in the gas I wasted idling around the campground. I was expecting to just pass through the campground and then go explore all the forest roads and see some beautiful scenery. But nope, just a locked gate and turn around.
Fenton lake is so beautiful!
Spent a week camping with a group of friends. The camping spots are great but you need to reserve ahead online.
