We were passing thru from Wisconsin to Florida, we normally take our time and stop along the way to rest. Fern Lake is a wonderful place to stop and take a break. Located next to Fuel and Food. We simply walked across the street and enjoyed some dinner at the Waffle Hut, fulled up with fuel at the Pilot and on our way. Fern Lake is easy to access and is located nicely in a quiet area. Thank you.

Very nice hosts at Fern Lake campground, they checked in on us often and were very accommodating. The lots are gravel and pretty close together. It’s pretty dusty, l guess that’s better than muddy. Fortunately, it didn’t rain during our stay. Had to give 4 stars instead of 5 with the pavement being gravel. There are plenty of things to do outside the campground in and around Paducah. We are planning on returning. You don’t often find campground hosts that friendly.😊

Not sure why all the 5star reviews but this is the truth I was just there. Its a little RV park with some long timers and a FHU area just to park for a night and go. Sort of a glorified parking lot. It was just what we needed for a 1 day stopover. Nothing special no picnic table or fire pit just gravel and power and sewer very close spots also. Watch your neighbors slides and yours. Employees were outstanding the young guy and his wife were very very nice. Has a small lake but you need a KY fishing license to fish in it legally he said. I wanted to fish but it was $35.00 for the non resident license. So we just ate , played rummy , bed , and left early in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fern Lake Campground. The bathhouse was clean and had hot showers. Laundry was $2.50 per load. And the people were so kind and helpful! We’d definitely stay there again.

Location was good for what we were there for. People running it were nice. But I don’t consider it a campground. More like an upgraded rest stop.the sites are way too close together. If you need it for a stop over, it’s ok. But I would not want to stay more than a day or so.
