Ferncrest Campground

Such a fun concept! All the joys of campfire cooking, but you can crash on a comfortable bed for the evening. And the location is gorgeous!! I loved being able to hear the water and see the creek. Be aware that heating up the hot tub or sauna takes time so you have to plan when you want to use them. Tents are side by side, but good fencing in between. We had neighbors but didn't see them. Owners were extremely helpful and hospitable, and went above and beyond to meet our needs.

We selected Ferncrest Flint Creek, OK for our Girls' weekend. We had 3 adults and a 7 month old. The family dome was the perfect size as it had enough space to move around but cozy. The mini fridge and microwave made it easy to prep the food we brought. The view was absolutely beautiful from our dome. Throughout our stay the hosts communicated often and ensured we weren't in need of anything. The camp layout is well organized and even though parking is across the street, they had carts readily available for us to use. Perfect getaway for the girls, couples, or even a small family.

Great place for my family to bond. We got to cook our own food over the fire. I liked the effort it took to keep the fire going. Super close to some great hiking trails and fishing. The Promised Land Inn had great food (had to try it). The dome tent didn’t allow in any rain and the small space heater worked great. Coffee and ice cream were delicious, especially the small batch ice cream. I really cant say anything bad about the whole experience and campground.

My husband and I stayed here this fall and absolutely loved our experience. Not only the tent was clean and aesthetically pleasing but all of the common areas were as well such as the showers, bathrooms, and store. The staff were very friendly (coffee trailer) and the bagels/coffee at the coffee trailer were really great. The hot tub was so unique and we really enjoyed looking at the stars as we soaked. We would 100% return and this time for longer than a weekend! Also, taking photos here was so fun and it made for very aesthetic pics! I submitted one that I took here with a job application for a journalist and scored a position as a writer!

This was my second time here. Ferncrest is a wonderful option to get that legit camping feel but have some creature comforts for your significant other. The tents themselves are pretty amazing. The outdoor hot tub is probably our favorite aspect. Took me a second visit to really get the hang of the fire for the hot tub but it was spectacular this year. The location is obviously part of the allure being tucked away right next to promise land state park, the activity options are endless. This will likely be a yearly adventure for my wife and I moving forward. We prefer coming in early October to really enjoy the cooler weather with camping. Feedback for Ferncrest and the new Sauna. Make sure the guests get a good spread of firewood (starter pieces and logs) to ensure the fire gets where it needs to be. We received 3 quarter log pieces and struggled to get a blazer. If I were to Sauna again I would be sure to bring better kindling and smaller wood options. Loved it overall though. Until next year!
