Nice view of the lake from our cabin. They have kitchens with a stove, pots and pans, and a full sized refrigerator. The owner was nice and very accommodating. They have boats for rent and the lake is big. Not far from the Ludington state park.
My family would go here every year! We quit going because the cabins were filthy. They were not cleaning very good at all. My husband and I found a thong and a pair of shorts on the side of the bed. Like what the heck. Spider webs everwhere. The water is HORRIBLE OMG. I needed a serious malibu treatment like you would not believe. I am surprised the water didn't come out of the shower or sinks pure orange. They wouldn't even brush off the outdoor seating for people by the water or the boats. Rented a pontoon and that was filthy. Spider webs everywhere. NOT WORTH IT. They do not take care of anything.
My wife & I have been reading these reviews & can't believe that anyone would enjoy staying at this place. I'm guessing that the owners friends & family are writing writing the reviews. Even their beach was filthy & the water was unfit for swimming. 🥵
an old resort on the lake, well kept and amazingly well maintained by the couple who own it. My visit was the last week of the season, and so it was rainy and a bit dreary.. Perfect! raining the first day, cloudy the second and sunny the third! I took a sound bar to play music and a couple iPads which kept us completely entertained, and even though wireless was offered, we used my phone services for data with no problems. If I can come back I will, and their knowledge of the area was invaluable since I was here as a little kid.. I remembered some things and some were changed or gone, as they often are. the State Park is a few miles away, and the lighthouse (restored) is one of the hikes nearby.. Because it was a bit chilly, I would have a fan next time, since it would be nice in summer, it would have spread the heat from the heater in the middle of the living room.
Our second year, and we love it. This will be an annual vacation. Perfect place to take my family. Grandchildren loved it, too. We stayed in a cottage. Looking out a window to see the lake is amazing. Bonnie and Mark are very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Peaceful Acres Resort. Beautiful!
