Nice camground for car camping. Easy to get to on the paved road. Very close to a creek and has a privy. Only one of the three available campsites has direct access to the creek so plan for that. The one great campsite is 5 star for sure, the other two are decent but not phenomenal. I would recommend going during the week to get the best site.
Three spots. One spot is next to river and is the best one. Other spots have less privacy with one spot being surrounded by the gravel turnaround. No fee. Only 2 of the 3 slots were occupied on 4th of July weekend. Sound of the river was soothing, lots of stars. Paved road makes it accessible. Mosquitos are bad in early summer. Would recommend, will stay again.
I've been coming here for almost two decades. The campground is close to hiking and mountain biking trails, and I recommend a side trip to Flag Point Lookout as well. With only three sites available, plan to get there early.
This is a tiny little campground with only three sites: one exceptional walk-in site along the banks of Fifteenmile Creek, one mediocre site up the hill (but a bit sloped), and one rather sad little site in the middle of the circular drive. Luxury features include a single vault toilet, fire rings with grates, picnic tables, no running water and no trash service. Luxury overnight fee: $0.00. You could try to score that sweet spot down by the creek, but the odds are against you—if anyone's there before you, they'll be having it. Probably better to plan on pitching your tent at nearby Eightmile campground, or one of its smaller neighbors, Lower Eightmile or Pebble Ford.
Recently had a great stay in campsite #1. My cousin and I used that site for both a tent and a camping hammock site. I encourage you to hike Fret Creek trail. Bring lots of water and your camera! Loved it.
