Fifty Mountain Campground offers a unique outdoor experience in the heart of Montana's untamed wilderness. Located in Waterton Vly, near Browning, this campground provides a gateway to explore the majestic landscapes of Glacier National Park. Surrounded by dense forests and mountainous terrain, it's a haven for nature enthusiasts seeking an authentic camping adventure.
Our facilities include tent and RV sites with water and electric hookups, as well as a dump station for convenience. For your safety, we provide bear hang units to securely store food and waste, crucial for preventing wildlife encounters. Fire pits are available for roasting marshmallows under the vast Montana sky.
Primitive amenities include restrooms with running water, picnic tables, and drinking fountains. We emphasize eco-friendly practices, encouraging visitors to leave no trace. The flowing water behind the farthest campsite adds a natural charm, while open pits offer basic sanitation facilities amidst nature's beauty.
While visiting, please store food securely to protect both yourself and wildlife. Cell service is limited, making it a perfect escape from urban life. In emergencies, dial 911 or contact the nearby town.

Beautiful camp site. While we were there we had a grizzly stare us in the face from 40 ft. Extremely important to store your food properly in the provided boxes
We got huck'd up on Fifty Mountain. Grizzly spotted 1/2 mile from camp. Bear hang. Open Pit. Flowing water behind farthest camp site.
Big views of Glacier's high alpine backcountry right from your tent. Prime grizzly bear territory so be sure to hang all your cooking gear and food.
Nice views but water is scarce. Best spot for bears! Ranger keeps hikers safe.
Great campground, but be ready to encounter some Grizz
